Vietnamese Cuisine
About
A Slice of Hanoi in South Maui
Stepping into Vietnamese Cuisine, you are immediately greeted by the steam of house-made broths and the hum of a busy dining room right in the heart of Kihei. This isn't a place for white-tablecloth pretense; it is a straightforward, no-nonsense spot where the priority is squarely on the bowl in front of you.
The Flavors of the Islands and Vietnam
The menu highlights traditional favorites that have earned a loyal local following. The signature Pho is the main attraction, featuring a clear, aromatic broth simmered for hours, served with generous piles of fresh Thai basil, crunchy bean sprouts, and lime wedges that cut through the richness. Beyond the soups, their vermicelli bowls provide a bright, herbal contrast, topped with grilled meats that carry a distinct charred smokiness.
What to Expect
The space is functional and efficient, making it an excellent choice for a quick lunch between beach sessions or a casual dinner with friends after a long day in the Maui sun. You might notice the room gets quite lively during peak hours, and while the parking lot in this corner of Kihei can get tight, the speed at which the kitchen turns out steaming bowls of Bun Bo Hue makes it well worth the squeeze. It is the kind of neighborhood joint where the clatter of spoons against ceramic bowls creates a rhythmic soundtrack to your meal, and the scent of cilantro and star anise lingers in the air long after your first sip of Vietnamese iced coffee.

Phở noodle bar located in Kihei, Maui. I ordered the hot stone Phở # 23. They bring out a plate of assorted meat that includes ribs, oxtail, beef brisket, tendon and meat balls. The broth was boiling hot in a stone bowl. Phở broth was so aromatic and very flavorful. It was so delicious 😋 Phở portion is generous, enough to share. Their bbq pork bánh mi and rice plate with Korean ribs was also very tasty. Total for 6 people came out to $94. Great food, great service, reasonable price. If you are in Maui and want a great bowl of Phở, this is the place.

I got the grilled shrimp noodle salad with veggie spring rolls and it did not disappoint! I also got the Thai tea and it was very flavorful and good. The food came out fairly fast and the service was great. They talked about how they relocated to Kihei after the fire and I highly recommend coming here to support them and eat good food!

If you’re in Kīhei and craving really good Vietnamese pho or rice dishes, this is such a solid spot to check out. It’s also owned by a local family who was impacted by the fires, so it feels even more meaningful to support them.

Delicious pho! Our waitress was very kind and the #12 (rate beef and brisket) pho was delicious. Paired excellently with spring rolls and one of the best thai teas that I've had. Really good atmosphere and not very busy around early dinner service.

This is a decent place for Vietnamese food, especially considering how few Vietnamese options there are on the island. The papaya salad was great. The banh mi sandwich was just ok— the pickled daikon/carrot tastes barely pickled, the bread was kind of tough, and the sauce was not very well seasoned. But again, just having a banh mi on the island is great. Bonus points for having a separate vegan menu.

My wife and I stopped at Pho Noodle Bar after being recommended by business owners in Wailea. What an amazing experience! We had the best Pho ever, including spring rolls as starters! Our meal was absolutely delicious! This place definitely made it to our list to visit again! Thanks for the great food and service!

Friendly family owned restaurant, very tasty food, reasonable priced, good service. We like it so much, we went there 3 times during our 10 days vacation. Their beef phos are our favorite. Highly recommended.

Great vegetarian and vegan options here! They have a section just for vegetarian/ vegan options. I ordered the tofu summer rolls, tofu banh mi and tofu pho. The banh mi was one the best on Maui - their bread came out with a nice thin crispy layer that doesn't hurt your mouth, and the tofu sauce was so good. The summer roll was better than most places I've been and they gave me two dipping sauces so I didn't have to share. The pho had a good veggie broth but I didn't taste the pho spices - most people would add hoison for flavor. It did satisfy my craving for hot nourishing soup and the veggies topping was generous.
