We were craving ice cream one night in Kihei and searched for the best place to go. We came across Tropical Ice Cream with amazing reviews, so we decided to give it a try — and wow, are we glad we did! We each got a waffle cone with one scoop, and the scoop was HUGE. They even let us split the scoop into two different flavors per cone, which was so generous. I got to choose two flavors, and my husband got to choose two flavors as well, yet they still only charged us for one scoop each. From the very first bite, we could immediately tell this was high-quality, homemade ice cream made with wonderful ingredients. The flavor and texture were incredible. The owners are some of the kindest people, and you can tell they truly care about what they create and the experience they provide. We loved it so much that we made the 45-minute drive from Ka’anapali the very next day just to get it again. And now here we are on night THREE making the drive yet again for more ice cream! Honestly, if we had found Tropical Ice Cream at the beginning of our trip, we probably would have driven the 45 minutes every single night. It absolutely deserves every glowing review it has received. If you’re anywhere near Kihei — or honestly even if you’re not — don’t hesitate to go. It’s AMAZING!

The best ice cream on the island! My family and I left absolutely delighted with both the service and the ice cream itself, incredibly creamy, rich, and delicious. The banana macadamia and coconut flavors are a must-try and absolutely worth ordering. Amazing!!!!! My partner and I visited this place everyday of our trip. Delicious!!! I always ordered the Ube ice cream with Macadamia Nut Crunch Sundae! The sundae comes with a cherry, wafer stick, i would ask for caramel sauce, and sprinkles! The milkshake was Ube ice cream with Banana Macadamia ice cream. I also ordered the Pineapple & Vanilla Swirl Dole Whip! Fantastic place! I highly recommend!! The owners and staff are very nice!!!
