South Shore Tiki Lounge
About
A Slice of Paradise in Kihei
When the sun dips below the horizon in South Maui, the South Shore Tiki Lounge transforms from a breezy afternoon haunt into the neighborhood’s heartbeat. This is where locals and visitors collide over thin-crust, wood-fired pizzas and some of the coldest craft beers on the island. The atmosphere is unapologetically casual, defined by an open-air layout that lets the salt air circulate while the scent of bubbling mozzarella and fresh basil wafts from the kitchen.
Island Rhythms and Late-Night Energy
The space is built for those who aren’t ready to turn in when the shops close. You will hear the rhythmic hum of live acoustic sets during happy hour, which eventually gives way to a high-energy dance floor as the evening progresses. It is the kind of place where you might find yourself sharing a high-top table with a long-time resident while waiting for their signature 'Maui Wowie' pizza, topped with kalua pork and pineapple.
The Tiki Spirit
Beyond the food, the drink menu pays homage to classic Polynesian mixology. Expect generous pours of rum-heavy cocktails served in ceramic mugs that feel heavy in the hand. While the popularity of this Kihei staple often means you will have to navigate a bustling crowd and a wait for a table, the payoff is a quintessential Maui experience. It is loud, vibrant, and perfectly authentic to the spirit of the South Shore. Whether you are looking for a casual lunch after a morning of snorkeling or a lively spot to spend a Friday night, this lounge captures the unpretentious essence of island nightlife.

Fun little place tucked in The Triangle. Much larger than it looks! Lots of menu options- both food and drinks. Thin crust pizza was excellent and the tiki drinks were deliciously potent! The staff was extremely friendly & welcoming, and the entertainment was fun. Highly recommend!!

Nice spot for pizza! My wife and I visited here for dinner on a Saturday night and we were seated quickly even though it was fairly busy. They had live music playing as well. We both had cocktails that were very good and fairly priced, bread sticks, and a pepperoni/jalapeno pizza. Everything tasted great. We’d definitely return again!

Total for one $62 Waited for maybe 5-10 mins for them to notice I was there. Was able to get seated at the bar fairly quickly. Waitstaff was a bit disorganized. Live musician Bartender was good and served good drinks/service, but was too busy to give better service to individuals, not her fault. - shrimp ceviche 3/10 - very bland, shrimp was chewy - Ceaser salad 3/10 - was pretty dry, not enough dressing. Bartender was busy and I didn’t get the chance to ask for more. - Kuluah pork sandwich 5/10 - said it had pineapple and slaw but there was none, just onion and the meat-also kinda dry - Drinks were good - velvet Mai tai 8/10 - lychee watermelon-tini 9/10

This was a great stop after our hike. We got two small pizzas and a house salad, all excellent! Also a $6 margarita and a $4 modelo from their all day happy hour! Busy inside but easy parking in the front. There's also a little market next door with souvenir shops you can wander through after your meal.

Yummy drinks and live music, thats all you need. We only tried the calamari and it wasn't good so we didn't finish it. So not much to review about the food. The music was great, and our server was friendly and prompt. Great stuff. It was a chill spot to go after the beach, its also next to the Kihei outdoor shopping with tons of kiosks. You can walk across the street to watch the gorgeous Kihei sunsets too.
