Indian Grill N Curry
About
Island Flavor with a North Indian Soul
Tucked away in the heart of Kihei, Indian Grill N Curry brings a much-needed punch of heat and aromatics to the Maui dining landscape. As soon as you step inside, the smell of toasted cumin and simmering turmeric greets you, cutting through the salty island breeze. It is a straightforward, no-frills setup—the kind of place where the plastic menus feel worn from use and the focus remains entirely on the pot rather than the decor.
The Kitchen’s Signature Heat
Chef-driven and spice-forward, the menu highlights staples that hold up to the tropical humidity. Their chicken tikka masala is the standout, featuring a creamy, tomato-based sauce that carries a deep, smoky char from the grill. If you prefer something with more bite, the lamb vindaloo is prepared with a vinegary tang that lingers long after your last scoop of garlic naan. Be prepared for the spice levels here; even the 'medium' can pack a genuine, throat-warming kick that will wake up your palate.
What to Expect
This is not a spot for white-tablecloth service. The atmosphere is casual, fast-paced, and efficient, making it an excellent stop for a quick lunch after a morning at Kamaole Beach or a low-key dinner when you are tired of standard island fare. A minor heads-up: parking in the lot can get tight during peak dinner hours as the surrounding shops fill up, so plan for a short walk if the stalls are full. For locals and travelers looking to trade poke bowls for basmati rice and house-made chutneys, this Kihei gem offers a consistent, aromatic experience that cuts through the routine.

We were craving Indian food and were so happy to discover this food trailer We tried the biryani, dal tadka, chicken tikka, and garlic naan, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were amazing We also heard their story—they previously owned a restaurant in Lahaina that was burned in the fire. If you’re in Lahaina and looking for great Indian food, definitely give them a try. Highly recommended✨

If you’re in Lahaina, definitely check out Indian Grill n Curry at their new food trailer location: 1165 Keawe Street, Lahaina, HI 96761. They’re still one of my favorite spots for Indian food on Maui — flavorful curries, fresh naan, and always comforting meals. Great to see them relocated and serving again after everything Lahaina has been through. You’ll also find other amazing small businesses in the same park at Q’s Food Truck Park including 808 Grindz Cafe, Tiki Coffee, Thai food, and Mexican food. Plenty of delicious options all in one spot. Come visit, enjoy great food, and support small businesses in Lahaina.

Came here from a recommendation from a local (we’re on vacation). It was absolutely amazing! We are vegan and they were able to customize all the vegetarian options to be made vegan. Food was season to perfection and very flavorful. We have 2 more days left in Maui and we will definitely be back before we head back home!
