Giovanni's Shrimp Truck

Excellent well known local shrimp truck. A must try for the local experience. It was good and strongly recommend eating right away if you visit, don't try to do this take out.

Literally what a Hawaiian food truck experience should be. Imo, this is the best scampi on Oahu. I come here everytime I visit Oahu, atleast twice! Love that they keep it clean and that there is a wash sink behind the Lanai too! Giovannis for the win!!!!

Best Shrimps ever! Soft hot and flavourful. A dozen Shrimp with 2 scoops of rice at 17.5$ is just great! ❤️❤️❤️ Note - Hot and Spicy is REALLY HOT AND SPICY🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 - not at all for someone who can take 4/5 spicy - Better to take the Scampi with a side of spicy sauce - the sauce is hella spicy, but at least you are in control 🤌

Excellent Shrimp with garlic rice is always a great combo. First time ever coming to any of the islands. I gotta tell you, I love it here! The people are so cool and the food is great. Truly worth supporting local business.

This was on my “must do” list when visiting Oahu. Service was a little cold, food was decent but messy which is to be expected but the food truck park itself isn’t the best environment to be eating- most tables were dirty etc. I guess it’s a laidback no-fuss kinda vibe but plan to be covered in the smell of garlic shrimp for the foreseeable future…. You get 12 shrimp for I believe it was $17/18. 2 small scoops of white rice. I’d say the price is pretty fair, flavor is good, rice is mediocre. Get extraaaa napkins

We stopped at Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck to see what all the hype was about! It definitely delivered. We already had lunch so this was more of a “snack” if you will. My husband and I shared the Scampi shrimp plate. Heavy on the garlic just the way we like it… Came with 2 scoops of rice and a lemon. The shrimp is very decently sized and it’s peel & eat so it can get a little messy but it really was so delicious. We finished this plate in record time. 10/10 would highly recommend.

I see from all the other reviews that some say this truck caters to tourists and that is probably true, but why not have some tasty shrimp? We stopped in and seemed to arrive right as they opened. We were warmly greeted and ordered the Shrimp Scampi. The food arrived quickly and we dug in. The shrimp are a very good size and plentiful. There is a ton of butter and garlic and we enjoyed the flavor. The sticky rice was a very nice addition and the overall plate felt appropriate to the price point. The seating area was very welcome and nice. We did see some tours start to arrive just after we got our food so I do imagine they get very crowded later in the day. I think this is a great stop if you are on the North Shore.

I thought the food was yummy. Super strong garlic flavor which I love. Came out super hot. Wasn’t expecting to have to peel the shrimp myself but not big deal. The eating area by the trucks had some flies around. I thought the portion was big, was able to split with a friend.

Our tour guide took us here, lucky for us. This was a great stop with great food. Several trucks in the area with covered seating available. Get the scampi and don’t look back.

Classic Hawaiian grindz and 100% worth the jaunt! If you don't think some of the best shrimp you've ever had can come from a food truck, be prepared to be happily mistaken! The garlic shrimp is a delicious, finger licking no-brainer but do not pass up trying the whole menu with your friends, family style. Grab the delicious cool and creamy sides to help ease the heat on some of the spices dishes too so don't be scared! Lol it's fun and the ambiance is hilariously kicked back. All outdoors and totally country style vibes. Perfect stop on your way to Northshore! #worththejaunt
