Shaka Pops
About
A Refreshing Tropical Escape in Hana
When the humidity of the Maui jungle sets in, nothing cuts through the heat like a handcrafted treat from Shaka Pops. Located in the heart of Hana, this local favorite specializes in small-batch ice pops that lean heavily into the bounty of the islands. Instead of mass-produced sweets, you will find rotating flavors like Li Hing Mui Pineapple, Lilikoi, and Coconut Cream, all sourced from local growers whenever possible.
Crafted for the Maui Climate
The shop captures the essence of a laid-back Hana afternoon. You can hear the hum of the nearby town life as you stand at the window, choosing between dairy-based indulgences and refreshing fruit sorbets. The texture is consistently smooth, lacking the icy crystals found in store-bought alternatives. It is the perfect pit stop for road-weary travelers finishing the legendary drive to East Maui.
The Local Experience
While the pops are the main attraction, keep in mind that this is a quintessential island operation; flavors change based on what is ripe and available, meaning you might not find the same option twice. The shop operates with a casual, walk-up window approach, so prepare for a little bit of standing in the tropical sun while you decide on your flavor profile. It is a genuine, unpretentious slice of Maui life that rewards those taking the time to explore the remote eastern coastline.

We had the passionfruit guava and the raspberry lemonade. Both were delicious and perfect after a day in the sun.

These popsicles are the best! We got Strawberry Lime, Orange Guava and Mango mojito! Angela was super friendly and the only reason we stopped is because she was smiling and waving from the road! TOTALLLY WORTH IT! These are nothing less than 5 star popsicles

Dunno what the big fuss is about these. Yea they taste good on a hot day, but I didn’t feel compelled to keep seeking them out throughout the trip.

Literally the cutest woman ever!!! Protect her and buy a Shaka pop from her! She stands there and does this friendly wave to call ppl over to get a pop and they’re so yummy and refreshing too!! Great flavors. I’d recommend stopped here instead coconut glens. The locals on road to Hana aren’t nice and welcoming but this lady is a gem!

Shaka Pops Hana serves fantastic Kihei-made popsicles off a bike-freezer (yes, it's the Hana equivalent of an ice cream truck) in a park with several other food trucks and permanent covered picnic seating. With flavors like Mango Mojito, Lava Flow, and Raspberry Lemonade, there are many refreshing tropical options. Also, they take Venmo!

Their popsicles are amazing and the lady selling Angela super nice. My kids loved strawberry and raspberry flavors, I loved Maui mocha and coco chocolate banana but I’m pretty sure they are all amazing.

Hands down the best popsicles I’ve had in a long time. Made in Maui from fruit purées and real ingredients. We first had these at a random gas station and then on our last day in Maui, we had them in Hana and then that night, we also bought them at Whole Foods before we flew out. I only tried the passion/orange/guava but it was so good that I just stuck with that flavor. I wish these were sold at Costco or something back on the mainland because we’d be buying these non-stop in the summer time!

Amazing popsicle stand right in Hana! They are super friendly, have a ton of flavors, are very quick, and are great for a hot day after a long drive or walk! Try the guava for an extra fruity pop!
