About
A Taste of Waimanalo’s Heart
When you find yourself cruising along Kalanianaʻole Highway, pull into the Waimanalo shopping center to experience a true community anchor. Times Supermarket in Waimanalo isn't your average grocery run; it’s where the local culture of the windward side shows up in the deli case. You will catch the scent of seasoned shoyu chicken and fried chicken as soon as you slide open the automatic doors.
Island-Style Provisions
This spot is tailored for those looking to pack a cooler for a day at Waimanalo Beach or Waimanalo Bay. The poke counter is the main event here, offering fresh ahi that rivals specialty shops in Honolulu. Expect to find a rotating selection of spicy mayo, limu, and shoyu preparations that define the local palate. Beyond the grab-and-go section, the aisles are stocked with everything from Hawaiian Sun juices to specific ingredients needed for a backyard barbecue, making it the preferred stop for residents stocking up for the week.
Practical Island Living
The layout is straightforward and functional, lacking the pretension of luxury grocers. It is a busy, high-traffic hub, so be prepared for a bit of a scramble in the parking lot during the post-work rush or on sunny weekends. The fluorescent lighting and hum of the industrial freezers provide a familiar, nostalgic soundtrack to the errand-running experience. It is efficient, no-frills, and entirely essential for anyone living or passing through this beautiful stretch of the Oahu coast.

Quite a variety of products fairly priced and friendly cashiers. Entry to parking lot is steep so drive carefully.

Was doing a tour and stopped by this place to pick up a quick lunch. Really impressed by how much different poke they had. Clean isles and friendly workers. Not a huge store but its a good sized one for most of your needs. Pretty good prices for all the fresh fruits and seafood. Would definitely stop by here again if I were in the neighborhood.

We were on the way to the Byodo-In Temple and I wanted to take a picnic of poke with me so I again pulled out my phone to look for Poke and Shima’s Supermarket came up. This was our first poke experience in Hawaii for this trip so I was so excited to see the huge selection. There was a local lady in front of me who was placing her order and she was so kind to me and gave me a lot of good ideas of what to order. I wish I had noted the name of the lady who was working behind the counter because she couldn’t have been more nicer to me. After being on the receiving end of a few curt and rude service in Oahu, this was such a nice and welcome change. This sweet lady while helping the nice local lady in front of me gave me so many samples to taste so that I knew exactly what to order. I wanted to order the poke bowl but unfortunately she ran out of white rice. She did however sell me the last scoop of white rice that she had. The ladies in the front and the cash register was also so very pleasant. We ended up having such a wonderful picnic. Every poke that I had selected was packed with flavor and so very tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our first experience with this wonderful supermarket. Delicious poke, excellent, customer service, what more could I ask for!
