Cafe O'lei At The Mill House

Had an amazing dinner here, the blackened shrimp linguini was amazing, the cheesecake was perfect just the right amount of sweetness, light and delicious. BUT…. The best part of of the meal. Without a doubt was our amazing server Jonathan. He was attentive, knowledgeable his recommendations were great, he made the meal even more enjoyable and shared his love of the island and family. Incredible server and made our dinner amazing and an experience we will be back for!

Great food, and even better scenery. Honestly, the views make coming here worthwhile even though it may be out of the way for most visitors. The service is okay, but nothing special. Prices are a little high, but that's to be expected in Maui. They do add an automatic 3% fee, so make sure you account for that when you leave your tip.

Excellent food at the same price as any other seemingly affordable place in Maui….I see most places have any one food item between $16-23, be it a roadside shack or a food truck, general store or any other restaurant …ditto price in this place only with amazingly better ambiance and scenery that cannot be beaten. I would say this place wins for a plate with a view, set in a historic setting. Flavorful and totally innovative items…like the Papaya salad…check out the pics.. we had the papaya salad, Fish and Chips and a Lilikoi (passion fruit) cheese cake,,

This is a really classy restaurant at the Maui Tropical Plantation. The scenary is spectacular with a lake and mountains as a backdrop. We experienced superb service, though we had to wait a bit for the food because it was busy. The menu has many interesting items at decent prices. Unfortunately, the pork belly we got was very tough and hard to eat. Other than that, a fabulous experience.

Great Breakfast Spot with Solid Plantation Vibes We stopped at Cafe O Lei at the Plantation during our Maui trip and had a really enjoyable breakfast. The Portuguese sausage, scrambled eggs, and bacon were all excellent — flavorful, well-cooked, and exactly what we were craving. The Portuguese sausage especially stood out with that perfect savory kick. The setting is lovely, with nice views of the plantation grounds and a relaxed, open-air atmosphere that feels very Maui. Service was friendly and efficient, and our food came out hot and fresh. It’s not quite a 5-star experience (the menu felt a bit standard and the coffee was just okay), but overall it was a solid, tasty meal in a beautiful location. We’d definitely return for another relaxed breakfast here. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a good start to your day!

Love this place! This was my third time. We make sure to make reservations here every time we book a trip to Maui. The views are incredible. The food and service is excellent. I recommend the French onion soup to start. People in my party ordered the catch of the day, Asian short ribs, lobster risotto and I ordered the seared ahi tuna. Every dish was delicious but I think I liked the Asian short ribs the best. The short ribs are so tender and juicy. Don’t forget to leave room for dessert! Recommend the malasadas!

This place is a hidden gem! The food was great, the staff were friendly and efficient, but the atmosphere was outstanding! I hadn’t been to the plantation before this and was pleasantly surprised by the whole thing. If you’re in the area, make it a point to visit and definitely stop in at Cafe O’Lei when you’re here.

Came here for brunch and unfortunately found two bugs in my drinks, one in my tea and another in the pineapple juice. Definitely not what you want to see! We also ordered the chicken Caesar salad, which was decent but nothing special. The view is absolutely gorgeous, but overall the food and quality control were disappointing. Beautiful spot, but I probably wouldn’t come back for the food.

We had an absolutely delicious dinner here! The service was also lovely, and the views were unmatched. I was actually worried that the rain would ruin the view, but I actually think it enhanced the vibes!

My husband and I really enjoyed this restaurant. The entire staff was so attentive and friendly. Our waiter, Jonathan, was awesome describing all the specials. He had a great suggestion for a roasted coconut Porter that was very nice. Thanks to him, we had one of the evening’s specials, flatbread with a blue cheese base, roast beef, mushrooms and red onions. We also had the macadamia crusted Mahi mahi with lemon caper sauce. The best was their roasted Brussels sprouts starter, in a sort of Asian inspired glaze that was just wonderful!
