This is one of the best places to hit up if you wish to have Korean Food or lunch plates. This places holds a special place in our hearts for the food they serve here. We don't come often, but when we do, it's worth the price and it's taste for every time we come here to eat. Our favorite plate to get is the Meat Jun (chun). So please come support local. As this is a long standing restaurant with some of the best food. 🤙

To preface this place was formerly my friends grandmas place before they sold and idk what happened since I last saw him freshman year but geez things have gone downhill. While the place has overall stayed the same along with the types of seasonings for the meat jun but a lot has been lacking since. For example the portions are halved at best with meat jun specifically being a lot of batter than normal at points. To me I miss when you could waltz in and get a quality meal for the price and get portions stacked to the ceiling but those days are gone...

I used to come here in the 90’s when I was working with a mechanical contractor and it was one of my favorite place on the island with $2.50 BBQ chicken plate! I heard there was ownership change 2017 or so but I still came back for old times sake. Actually the food was really great quality and delicious. We had the Kalbi which was really savory and had the right amount of fat. The BBQ chicken also delicious but no longer bone in so I missed that a little. The beef soup Is still excellent! My daughter says they use marrow, I don’t know but I haven’t found that anywhere else. I was happy to see that the awesome historical photos were still there though hidden in a hallway. I was there for the remodel when the benches and photos were put in, maybe 1996? Only major difference was the price, I definitely wouldn’t be able to afford as a daily lunch. But still delicious and really enjoyed. I’ll come again

The rice taste like dog water. They got my order completely wrong. I ordered noodles with chicken and they gave me horribly tasting and white rice and burnt chicken thighs. The restaurant smelt of mold and mildew and probably has been cleaned thoroughly in 15 years. Go anywhere but here. Seriously.

I got to try their squid chun with special sauce for $16.95 and they really do give a lot. I was able to eat half and saved the other half for my dinner and it really was good. The service was friendly and efficient.

The food was completely amazing!!! The staff was friendly which made our visit enjoyable. I look forward to coming back and having the same if not a better experience than this time. There's so many great options on the menu. The best Korean food I've experienced outside of Korea.

I really enjoyed the spicy pork. You will be served with a quick entree free of charge (soup and 2 bowls of kim chee; spicy and nonspicy). The service was fast and the food is affordable. Probably about 30+ people fit in the restaurant and I think they have a space for parties(don't quote me on that). They have a wall that displays the different sizing pans for catering. Cash, a minimum purchase of $10 using your credit/debit card acceptable. Restroom available so don't forget the key attached to a bottle. Free parking available on both sides of the building (back and front). Make sure you have cash because their card machine sometimes crashed. Popular among the locals and very delicious food! Check them out and support local!

I love old-school 'hole-in-the-wall' places. But this was the most disgusting food I've ever been served. The Fish Jun was literally inedible — just some cheap grisly trimming of tilapia. One side was overcooked and the other side was completely raw (how?) and the coating was just bland mush. I had to just throw most of it away. The Meat Jun was slightly better. The meat was at least cooked and tender, but it too was so bland. The only real flavour was old fry oil with a hint of rice vinegar and soy sauce. The banchan was soupy and unremarkable. The rice was nice. Clearly this restaurant is cashing-in on nostalgia and a reputation from long ago. It's just the cheapest ingredients thrown together without any care or attention — making the price paid ($18 for a plate) that much more outrageous. There are so many passionate chefs making incredible food on Oahu. Please save your save your time, money, and stomach and go anywhere else.

Old school Wahiawa Korean restaurant thats been around seemingly forever thats known for their meat jun. The original owners arent there anymore so maybe thats why the taste is a bit different nowdays. Still good but not like I remember. Service is typical of Korean restaurants.... Gotta flag them down if you want something. Post covid hours have changed so they close very early now. Been just ordering to go, and as a common rule wherever i go I check my order before I leave🤙A generous 4 stars.

A favorite Wahiawa Korean food stop for our parents over 30 years. Lots of booth seating, take out or sit and eat. Generous serving sizes. Started off the meal with a tasty clear beef stock soup.
