The Local Rhythm
Stepping inside, you get a sense of the local flow; it’s a hub where students from the nearby university mix with road-trippers and local families. The atmosphere is casual and bustling, often filled with the chatter of people planning their day in the sun. Because this location is a primary stop for tourists and locals alike, expect a lively lunch rush where the efficiency of the kitchen is put to the test.
What to Expect
Whether you are craving the classic Quarter Pounder with Cheese or looking for a cool treat to escape the tropical humidity, the menu remains consistent with the global standard. A helpful tip for those driving: the parking lot can get tight during peak morning hours as surf racks and rental vans jostle for space, so keep a sharp eye out when pulling in. Despite the high volume of traffic, the service remains prompt, ensuring you spend less time waiting and more time enjoying the island breeze.

Staying at hotel nearby. Drive-thru opens earlier than restaurant, but wouldnt let me just walk up and order a coffee through the window without a car. ??? There wasnt any cars in line anyway. Ridiculous.

I went through the drive thru and got 2 Big Macs. The line was long and slow but the food was good. I ordered through the mobile app and got a fairly decent discount. McDonald’s isn’t the best food but it is always cheap(even in Hawaii) and a good late night place to go.

I learned something recently. We all know McDonald's. But what I learned brought me to a new McDonald's, as far as McDonald's in the USA go. Order a chicken sandwich and a double cheeseburger. Put the patties together in between the bread and eat it. Life changing. Best thing on the menu.

Clean place, good staff, food executed quickly. Burgers fresh, good/salty fries, nice syrup/soda ratio.. top friggin notch as far as Maccers goes… only rub is $0.80 per sauce! But could just be Laie prices since it’s $0.15 in HNL

The service and food were good enough for a McD’s compared to anywhere in the country. It was located near BYU-H and the PCC so I’m sure it gets pretty busy to keep everything efficient and the food fresh.

No soda refills! 👎🏼 Service quickly, that's a good thing. But when I tried to eat in the dining room, all the tables were dirty. They should improve that…

This trip I stood at the front counter for the duration my 7 year old was using the bathroom and was not acknowledged at all when I had a question I wanted to ask before ordering. People looked at me and kept walking by. Had to use the machine which isn't the problem. My issue is that it has been that they dont have items advertised. Only bonus once ordered it was quick.

This is how my fry came. How is this okay? Also I got a Dr Pepper that tasted more like water than Dr Pepper it was unrecognizable. I could not even tell what it was and threw it away.

Not a big fan of McDonald’s so I’m in a base my five star rating on McDonald’s as a whole not on it as a eating experience versus other burger or breakfast places came here on Fourth of July morning around 9:30 no lines able to order the kiosk, smoothly and effectively food came out hot and ready to go Nice to be able to get a spam in Portuguese sausage breakfast and still be able to get the sausage egg McMuffin that is so common clean facility inside and out friendly staff, although I only needed to use the kiosk to order. Since this is close to BYU, Hawaii and The church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints Temple I can imagine that this place can get busy, so I think it’s probably a bit of a role of the dice on how busy this location can get I’d strongly encourage to use the app as a way to be able to order ahead of time and just grab the food once you get here

Our standby breakfast every time we come to Hawaii. We have to have it just once. Execution was what we expected, consistent and basic. We ordered & paid on the kiosk and our meals were brought to our table in the dining area by an employee. She was robotic, not smiling, and didn’t say a word even when we thanked her. I suppose this is where service is heading these days. At least the dining area was clean and they have a great location adjacent to the Marriott next door and within walking distance to the Polynesian Cultural Center.
