Zippy's - Kapolei (Kamokila Blvd)

Great experience. We dined inside for breakfast, but they also have a take-out counter where you can order food quickly to-go. Food was not too expensive and really good. I got eggs, bacon, spam and hash browns. Would visit again.

Zippy's was one of my favorite meals while in Oahu. It's an excellent meal for the value. No, it's not fine dining. Yes, it's diner food. But it is absolutely local and can give you a taste of the island. The Zip Pac offers four meats: fried chicken, spam, fried fish, and teriyaki beef, plus rice, chili, and macaroni salad. The meats are all great, expect I found the fish to be average. The chili and macaroni both offer a nostalgic 'diner' taste, and are fun to mix-in with the rest of the food. If you set your expectations right, you'll have an awesome meal.

It saddens me to have to write this review. I am Born and raised in Oahu and going to Zippy’s has always been the go to late at night. Tonight after a football game, we ordered dinner for the family through the Zippy’s app. When we picked up our order the worker reassured us that everything on the order was correct and bagged up. We drove home and separated the food so everyone could eat. After doing that we realized that the order was missing 2 items for two people. When we called the restaurant they transferred us 3x to situate a refund request of the missing items. The saimin noodles were still raw, the mini spaghetti was sideways in the bag before leaving and the sauce was out of the container. It was sad to see this because we love to support a long time business that our local people love. I rather go to Oh My Grill for the quality of food, the pricing and the customer service. Please do better.

Great Hawaii-based restaurant chain, I believe they also have one in Las Vegas. Comfort food with friendly service. All day breakfast, lunch & dinner with very generous portions. My favorites are their French Toast, Hawaiian style Loco Moco, the Korean Fried Chicken Salad and the Orange Bang drink.

Zippy’s is a Hawai’i favorite among locals and visitors. Their menu has all the classic favorites like zip pac and chicken Katsu. The have a dine in area as well as a take out counter. The bakery items are also really good and made fresh. The prices are reasonable and is very clean!

This is a review from a first timer. I've heard many good things about this local chain, and I was looking forward to trying a few items, especially the famous chili. Some of my family members have been to Zippy's before, and they enjoy coming here when on vacation. We had a big family lunch party, so we ordered a bunch of items. I got to try the Chili Moco, a bowl of chili (with beans), and my main order was the Saimin. After trying the chili with both beans and no beans, I prefer the no-bean chili. The saimin was delicious, but average. If you're in the mood for soup or noodles, this would satisfy. The lilikoi drink was also refreshing and sweet. For dessert, we shared two popular items, the Haupia Cake and Chocolate Pudding. Both were very satisfying and ended the meal perfectly. The Haupia cake was not overly sweet, and it was moist and light. The staff seemed overwhelmed, but they still got most of our orders out quickly and maintained a friendly and attentive vibe throughout the meal. There's a quick-service counter for takeout and a spacious dine-in area to enjoy your meal inside. Overall. It was a pleasant first experience, and I am hoping to dine in again in the future.

The spaghetti and garlic bread was average, but the Korean fried chicken was quite delicious. It was busy, so the food took about 25 minutes to be served.

Can't go wrong with the Zip Pack. Order ahead for faster service or be prepared to wait a while for your food. Finding parking has never been a problem at the Kapolei location.

Chili moco is the way to go! Ube ensaymada was perfect to share for dessert. Typical Zippy’s. Orange bang drink was good, too!

Everything you would expect from a local diner. Friendly staff, delicious food, and generous portions. We had the mini loco moco, chili rice, saimen, and salmon katsu. Nobody could finish their food. Sadly, we had no room left for their famous desserts.
