Monkeypod Mai Tai is a fun and delicious drink! We went for a post-dinner hang with a group of friends and it was a fun atmosphere to just relax after a long day of activities with little kids. We made reservations just in case but there seemed to be seating available since we went towards the end of service for the day.

A good but not as good as the price is high restaurant in the Ko Olina area just walking distance from the Disney Aulani resort. The menu is relatively straightforward with a handful of pupus, and then standard and seafood entrees. For these prices, ingredient quality is high but the restaurant is in this odd middle ground. Not fancy enough to have artsy small portions, but too fancy for American dinner plates, apparently. So you get strong flavor profiles in almost every dish but after spending 70-80 a person after part of an appetizer, a main, and one drink... You leave hungry and wondering whether it was worth leaving the resort. The bar is excellent, with great drink options and to me was the real bright spot here. This was disappointing because I've been to several other Merriman locations including other Monkeypod locations and Merrimans on Maui. This just doesn't elevate to the same level, with a strip mall vibe.

What a beautiful tropical two story restaurant! I reccomend sitting upstairs because of the view. The happy hour includes half off all appetizers excluding ones with seafood. The drinks are reasonable as well during happy hour only. The chicken wings are great...you must order them fried. You can request additional sauces at no charge. The coconut corn chowder and ravioli are delicious. The bartenders are knowledgeable and will steer you in the right direction. I visited the Monkey Pod at the Outrigger Hotel on Waikiki Beach this week. Of course, you can't compete with the ocean view. It has the same menu at happy hour. The pizza was delicious! They validate parking but you still have to pay. Check the rates before you go.

Sad the quality of food has gone down while prices have increased. Staff was very nice while processing our order. Food was hot and delivered quickly. We ordered jerk chicken with garlic rice, chicken wings, fish sandwich with fries and extra garlic fries. Everything was sub par with the exception of chicken wings and garlic fries. This place was our go to years ago. We haven't been for a few years because it's a little out of the way and friends from that side of the island moved. With the chicken being $42, ended up throwing away half the chicken, all the rice, and one of the banana wraps. Parts of everything except the wings ended up in the trash.

We had a great experience at Monkeypod Kitchen! The food was delicious and everything came out fresh and flavorful. What really made our visit stand out was our server, Thomas—he truly went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time. He was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests. We’ll definitely be back!

Monkeypod Kitchen is just a short walk from Aulani Resort. We made dinner reservations for our large party, and our table was ready once we checked in. We sat inside, but the patio area looked inviting as well. Overall, most of the food was good, and the drinks were great. The atmosphere and vibe were chill and pleasant with live music. The weather was also perfect for the evening. We started with some drinks; the Monkeypod Mai Tai was a big hit, and I enjoyed the Virgin Mai Tai. There were some interesting house cocktails, non-alcoholic options, and a big wine list. We ordered some appetizers to share, and I enjoyed the Wings, Taro Ravioli, and Kalua Pork Pizza. My main entree was Pete’s Fish & Chips. It was ok. The tempura-style fish had a nice crunch, but the coating was very salty. The hand-cut fries were tasty, though. Some of my family felt the saimin and fish sandwich was delicious as well. Our server and the staff were excellent, attentive, and kind. They checked on us regularly. The prices are on the premium side, but given the location across from the resorts and the quality and portions, it was fair. I'd be back to enjoy the cocktails and try other items on the menu.

We ate at some fantastic restaurants during our trip to Hawaii. The food here was arguably the best. I wish I could remember our servers name as she was one of the best I have seen anywhere. Lobster deviled eggs were delicious. I tried the gnocchi and the waitress suggested adding chicken. Monkeypod has tasty twist on a pretty common pasta would highly recommend trying this.

Wonderful restaurant, the atmosphere, cocktails, food and service was excellent. The macadamia fish was very good as well as the regular Old Fashioned cocktail. It was very enjoyable and the live music was just getting ready to start when we were leaving. We had a few people at our resort recommend The Monkeypod Kitchen. Not sure where they came up with the name. Cool place.
