Wailana Pool Bar
About
A Refreshing Escape in the Heart of Kapolei
When the West Oahu sun reaches its peak, the Wailana Pool Bar provides a necessary reprieve. Located within the expansive grounds of the Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club, this open-air spot feels less like a hotel bar and more like a breezy clubhouse for those seeking an authentic Hawaiian afternoon. You will hear the gentle splash of the lagoon pool and the rhythmic clinking of glass against ice as staff prepare signature mai tais and frozen pina coladas.
Casual Bites and Liquid Sunshine
The menu focuses on straightforward, poolside comfort. Expect crisp, fresh salads and fish tacos that pair perfectly with the humidity of the Kapolei coast. The bartenders here are known for their heavy-handed pours of local rum, a tradition that keeps guests lingering on the loungers long after their midday swim. It is the kind of place where the dress code is strictly sandals and swimwear, and the salt-air breeze dictates the pace of service.
The Ko Olina Experience
While the atmosphere is generally laid-back, keep in mind that this is a popular destination for families staying at the resort. During peak vacation weeks, the seating area can get quite lively, and you might find yourself waiting a few extra minutes for a table during the golden hour sunset. If you are looking for a quiet, secluded corner, aim for the mid-afternoon lull before the evening crowd descends. Whether you are a resort guest or just exploring the western shores of Oahu, the Wailana Pool Bar serves as a reliable anchor for a relaxed, sun-drenched day.

Perfectly pleasant pool bar that is an oasis in the madness of the rest of the resort. Delicious nachos that reminded me of Yak and Yeti in WDW but much fresher fish. Try the blended coconut mojito - unique and very refreshing. Honestly, very competitive pricing compared to options in Ko Olina in general.

My husband and I enjoyed the adults only area so we frequented this bar. The drinks were good, it's easy to lose track on a hot day. I didn't have any food here. Staff were friendly.

Service is usually good, but the servers sometimes default you to a 20% tip when paying by card - be aware.

Lava Flow drinks were good, but inconsistent in the amount of alcohol. Shrimp tacos were good. Quick and convenient service.

Without a doubt, the worst Banana Daiquiri I ever had. Too icy, bad flavor, chunky, no real banana taste. The worst part tho... $20 plus tip.

We went here each morning of our trip for my wife's coffee and on every visit the woman working remembered my wife and her order. Coffe was delicious.

We got the Ahi Nachos and two of the must have, because we came all the way to Hawaii of the fancy drinks in the pineapple. The Ahi, truly each bite melts in your mouth. And even though we were in bathing suites the food was presented poolside but in a fancy presentation and taste. I got the mint mojito and my daughter the pina colda and we stepped it up, just to have a cool picture and ordered it in a pineapple. Was a great meal and the drinks were delicious.
