About
A Steaming Bowl in the Heart of Kapolei
When the humidity rises across the Leeward side of Oahu, locals know that a hot, aromatic bowl of beef broth is exactly what the body craves. At Pho One, tucked away in the bustling commercial corridors of Kapolei, the focus remains squarely on the traditional preparation of Vietnamese comfort food. The scent of star anise, charred ginger, and simmering marrow bones greets you the moment you slide through the door, offering an immediate sense of relief from the island heat.
The Culinary Experience
The menu here is straightforward, prioritizing the classics that define Vietnamese street food culture. Their signature pho features a clear, complex broth that balances savory depth with a light, herbaceous finish. Whether you prefer the classic rare beef cuts or a hearty bowl loaded with tripe and brisket, the kitchen manages to deliver consistent flavors that hit the spot during a lunch break or a casual weeknight dinner.
You will notice the space leans into a utilitarian aesthetic—it is a no-frills environment designed for efficiency. It is the kind of place where the clatter of ceramic bowls and the quick pace of servers set the tempo. Don't be surprised if the dining room hums with conversation or if the parking lot gets a bit congested during the midday rush; it is simply part of the rhythm of this West Oahu dining staple.
Why Visit?
Pho One is an ideal destination for those who value speed and substance over elaborate decor. It serves as a reliable anchor for residents and visitors exploring the growing Kapolei landscape, providing a consistent, authentic bowl of noodles without the pretension. If you are navigating the west side and need a meal that warms the soul without breaking the bank, this spot offers a genuine slice of Vietnamese culinary tradition right in the neighborhood.

Walked in with my dogs who were in a stroller. I did not see a sign that said no animals allowed and respect that dogs are not allowed in all restaurants, however, there was a tone in the man's voice that I did not appreciate. He said "we do not service animals" and that there was a sign. I know how to read and there was no sign. He said that he did not want to be responsible if customers had complaints. This restaurant was mostly empty, maybe 2 other tables were taken. It wasnt the message, it was the tone and I felt unwelcome. Not the first time Ive been to this restaurant. The portions are small for the price. I just wanted to bring my aunt to a more traditional place but will never come back. I am vietnamese and something about super traditional vietnamese people rub me the wrong way. There are better restaurants out there that will have courtesy. Funny thing is Ive brought my dogs here before, but the other times, I was with my caucasian husband and had no questions asked. Im tired of internal racism and having to bring my husband so as to be treated nicely. Please dont come here is you want to be treated nicely. Food is medicore anyways.

We went there Tuesday about 230p. It has a free parking lot and also street parking available. I will usually go to pho one because it's one of the rare places that serve the crab meat soup. We had the spring rolls, seafood pho and the crab meat soup. 1- sorting rolls is good and not oily. It comes with lettuce, noodles & sauce 2- soup base is good even though you don't b like putting anything in it, but there are the typical hot chili, hit chili oil, sriracha, hoisin and if you want... fish sauce. The pho as usual has the veggies... sprouts, basil, jalapeño, lemon

Overall: I won't eat here again. It's overpriced for what they offer. Folks, you're better off eating at many other Vietnamese places around Kapolei that serve fresher food for more fair prices for the portions and quality (food and service) they give you. Food Manapua - Luke warm, average taste, overpriced for $7. Appears not made in house for the price. Large Special Combination Pho - Normal. Not worth $20. The meat portions are also super stingy. I mean, half a beef ball in an expensive soup...come on! Also, the tiny lemon piece you gave me for the soup screams you're penny pinching.. even for the piece in the water! But, I suppose I should've guessed that, considering you couldn't even have new menus done when you changed your prices, but still trying to give off a hip vibe... Service - Rushed. Between sitting and bringing me water, only a minute passed. Two minutes after that, and you're already asking me what my order is. Not good. I didn't even have time to get situated with the menu. Then, in the end, you don't even tell me I need to bring myself to the front to pay until I interrupt you, asking for it, as you're serving someone else; tell me that before I sit around, waiting for a check that was never going to come on its own! Atmosphere - Feels like a party with your Vietnamese party music playing on the TV. I came in at 5:50 PM and I already feel like I'm partying by myself in this big restaurant. I hope others eat here and I'm not the sucker....

I recently dined at Pho One, and it was an exceptional experience. The food was incredibly fresh, bursting with flavors that made each bite delightful. The standout, however, was the excellent service provided by a male server. His attentiveness and professionalism added to the overall positive atmosphere. The restaurant was impeccably clean, creating a welcoming environment. I highly recommend Pho One for anyone seeking a fantastic dining experience in Kapolei!

The chicken is on point. The pho was on point but needs some more noodles. The meat overpowers the noodles. The customer service is good. The fruit flies and flies are no bueno. May come back… again pretty good food, just avoid the insects.

Ordered delivery, This was our first time ordering from here, so I am not 100% sure if we were actually missing stuff for our order, or how their broth tastes. But... If we were missing the veggies that go into the pho that they usually give you when you eat in, I was very disappointed that we didn't get any. On top of the missing ingredients that make pho what it is, the broth had no flavor. Isn't pho known for its broth? Also ordered two orders of summer rolls and we never got any kind of dipping sauce for it. Which was also very disappointing. The cold noodle dish with bbq pork, shredded pork, and spring rolls and shaking beef we very good though. The spring rolls as an appetizer were very good. It's hard to rate this, I'd probably give it a 3.5 because of how good some of the food was, and the price was a lot better than the other place we usually go to. But, if the price is less because the pho isn't as great, then this would have a 1 star. You order from a pho place because you're expecting good pho. Overall a mixed review. The delivery came through very good, the packaging was good, nothing really spilled. Also, missing utensils, napkins, and sirracha sauce(not sure how this works these days, but I didn't see an option to request these things on the side).

This place is probably one of the best Pho places I have been to. I have never been somewhere that the basil is always super fresh and green! Their soup and food is not overly salty and everything is fresh and healthy. If you are out in Kapolie and craving Vietnamese food , you will not be disappointed!

Tofu vegetable pho, vermicelli crab meat broth They serve food with fresh vegetables. I used eat pho but I ordered vermicelli crab meat this time. I expected crab flavored broth but it tastes tomato broth more. It’s good too but I expect seafood broth. Pho is delicious.
