Julie'z Restaurant
About
A Slice of Kapolei Comfort
If you are cruising through West Oahu and craving a no-frills, hearty meal, Julie'z Restaurant serves as a reliable anchor for locals. This neighborhood spot captures the authentic essence of Kapolei dining, offering a menu that leans heavily into island-style comfort food. From the moment you walk in, the scent of sizzling bacon and fresh-brewed coffee fills the air, setting a low-key tone for a morning fuel-up before heading to the nearby lagoons.
What to Expect
The interior is modest and functional, designed for quick bites and long conversations over stacks of pancakes. It is a favorite among neighborhood residents who prefer a casual, home-cooked feel over the polished corporate chains that dominate the Kapolei Commons area. While the space can get quite bustling during the weekend breakfast rush—leading to a lively, noisy hum of chatter—the service remains efficient.
Menu Highlights
Julie'z is best known for its extensive breakfast menu, featuring everything from classic loco mocos to fluffy omelets packed with island-grown produce. The portions are notoriously generous; you rarely leave this dining room feeling hungry. The kitchen staff emphasizes traditional preparation methods, ensuring the hash browns have that perfect golden-brown crisp and the eggs are cooked exactly as requested.
Practical Observations
One minor quirk to keep in mind is that parking in this busy pocket of the city can be tight during peak hours, so plan your arrival accordingly. Whether you are a local heading to work or a visitor looking to experience the unpretentious side of Hawaii's culinary scene, this establishment provides a grounded, honest experience that keeps the community coming back.

3Jan2026 Mom wanted Filipino-style breakfast. When Mother Dearest gets her cravings, better take her in a hurry. Here at Julie’Z breakfast specials, couldn’t decide what to eat so we just ordered three different plates and full stack pancakes for dessert. When it comes to eating out, my Mom is usually hard to please, especially Filipino food. Today, she said she suggested we go there, so here we are! Close to home cooked meals. Great service by the Aunties.

Rating: ★★★☆☆ I don’t usually leave reviews, but I decided to share this one in hopes of helping the business owner reassess staffing needs during busy times. I really enjoyed the food—it was delicious. However, the service was disappointing. I understand the restaurant was busy, but the waitress repeatedly passed by our tables without checking in. I asked for a coffee refill, and it took quite a while as she continued seating and taking new customers’ orders. Eventually, she noticed and asked a coworker to refill my coffee. I share this feedback with good intentions. With more support for the staff during peak hours, service could be more attentive, which would encourage customers to return again, again and again. Thank you!

HONESTY HONESTY HONESTY. I bring my family here mainly for breakfast because of the great food, PRICES, & service. After we paid for our meals, as we were walking out the door, the young man owner/server stopped us and said that we may have over paid our bill by $50 which included the tip. I didn't realized I added it wrong. So he had me change it if I wanted to. He was HONEST and realized the overpayment and to double check with me. God bless him for his honesty and his restaurant will continue to flourish. SA808

Went there specifically for Shrimp Sinigang, decent size and amount of shrimp with the sweet potato leafs. Too much of Tomato and Onion! Rice portion was perfect to eat with the soup, making you full and content. Daughter had Pork/Squash, it wasn't wasn't she expected with the lechon in the soup instead of pieces of pork.

Fried rice omelette. Fried rice omelette!if this is what the Phillipines is doing then I need to visit. The omelette comes with a tasty vinegar sauce. I tossed in some soy sauce because I crave soy sauce deep in my soul. Definitely worth a stop. They're celebrating 23 years of making wonderful food!

Came here for the first time. We ordered the adobo fried rice w/ Lechon Kawali, dinaguan and pinakbit, Lechon Kawali and Pansit, and a side order of 1 pancake. Everything tasted pretty good. The dinaguan wasn’t as good as it looked. The Adobo rice was pretty flavorful with the Lechon. The pansit noodles were ok as well. The pancake was very flavorful and had a nice crust. Staff are fast and friendly. Lots of parking and lots of tables to dine on.

Filipino food was good, but a little salty for me. Our server was real nice. Portion servings were large and shareable. Ordered the steamed white rice , dinuguan and pancit, and pork adobo.

First time here. Had a short 15 min wait with about 3 parties ahead of our group. Service was fast. I ordered the Lechilog which is lechon kawali with pork adobo fried rice omelette. The lechon was super crunchy on the outside with really tender meat. It paired perfectly with the pork adobo fried rice. We also ordered pancakes as I was told it was one of the best. Pancakes were chewy and may be one of the better cakes I've had. Will definitely come back for the this meal!

NO BUFFET. We came for the famous buffet but they don’t have it anymore despite the listing still claiming they have it. Food was good and served quickly but the pork adobo was weak. This is more diner than restaurant. It’s loud and busy. Limited seating could mean a long wait.

Our favorite stop on the island! Comfort food and reminds me of my family’s home cooking. Everything is delicious. Sometimes there is a wait but it goes by fast. I would recommended one thing but can’t because everything is good. I got a 2 choice combo plate with one scoop of rice (normally comes with two). I got the pinakbet and pancit. Yummy!
