I Love Korean Bbq

Came here for the first time. They were closing within 45mins. We ordered the bbq chicken and meat jun combo, kalbi and poke combo, and the mini kalbi. Food tasted pretty good except the poke. It looks decent, but tastes old and mushy. The sides were ok. We tried to order the garlic chicken, but they told me they put it away. I noticed the staff had intentionally left the phone on dead tone so they don’t receive phone calls because it was a bit busy within the store. I told them about the phone originally because I could hear it and he did correct it until the phones started ringing again. Then I seen him purposely leave it on. Staff are friendly, but with the putting away of the food too early and not answering their phones is pretty mind blowing. I would think the owner is losing money when they don’t receive phone orders and putting away food that would’ve been sold. Lots of parking and dining tables are outside.

I just received my order and 1 x 4. Spicy BBQ Chicken ENTREES Regular ($19.99) Choice of 1st Vegetable: Edamame Choice of 2nd Vegetable: Bean Sprouts Choice of 3rd Vegetable: Long Rice Choice of 4th Vegetable: Long Rice $19.99 Did not have the meat in the order! When I called “ E Kim” blamed the delivery driver!!! This is very odd as supposedly the order was checked prior to sending the order out. The delivery driver was used and recommended to us by your establishment as we ordered online through your establishment! “E Kim” the manager advised she could offer a replacement at another time. I am visiting Hawaii this is my last night how will this help me now! No help ridiculous. Believe me I will be placing a wonderful online review and contacting Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) Food Safety Branch as I am sure if this is how you handle something like this I am sure basic food safety is not up to par or being followed. All I wanted was to be treated with respect and like you appreciated the business.

The portions here are HUGE! The kalbi combo is a steal and the marinade is amazing. We ended up eating here three times during our five day trip in Ko Olina. A mini size was perfect for me (2 kalbi ribs with rice and two sides). My husband did well with the regular (3 kalbi ribs with rice and four sides). You can also buy more side dishes. Everything tasted super fresh and delicious. P.S., my husband couldn’t stop man crushing on the cook/owner? He looks like a Korean actor!
