Hawaii Pot Shabu Shabu House (s)
About
A Hands-On Feast in the Heart of Kapolei
Stepping into Hawaii Pot Shabu Shabu House feels like walking into a laboratory of flavor. Located right in the bustling commercial hub of Kapolei, this spot turns dinner into a collaborative project. You aren't just ordering a meal; you are choosing your own adventure with rows of conveyor belts delivering fresh ingredients directly to your station.
The Art of the Custom Broth
The magic starts with the soup base. Whether you lean toward the fiery, tongue-numbing Szechuan spicy broth or the gentle, comforting house-made pork bone stock, the experience is designed for customization. Guests hover over personal induction burners, dropping thin slices of marbled beef, crisp bok choy, and handmade noodles into the bubbling cauldrons. The sound of boiling pots and the clinking of dipping sauce bowls creates an energetic, communal hum that permeates the room.
Perfect for Groups and DIY Enthusiasts
This layout works best for groups who enjoy a high-energy dining style. It’s loud, it’s fast, and it demands you stay engaged with your food. The dipping sauce bar is a sensory playground—you can mix raw garlic, cilantro, sesame oil, and house chili paste to create a profile that is entirely your own. If you’re a fan of meticulous food preparation, it’s a paradise. Just a heads up for visitors: the parking lot in this specific retail complex can get tight during peak dinner hours, so arriving a few minutes early is a smart strategy to avoid frustration.
Why Kapolei Locals Keep Coming Back
Beyond the novelty of the conveyor belt, the quality of the raw proteins stands out. The restaurant prioritizes fresh, thinly sliced meats that cook in seconds, ensuring each bite is tender. It is an approachable way to dive into authentic Shabu Shabu without the pretense. If you find yourself exploring the West Side of Oahu and craving a meal that feels more like an interactive experience than a standard restaurant visit, this is the place to be.

This is my favorite hot pot place! I’ve tried the same brand at different locations, and this one is the best value. The spicy broth is delicious, and they even include wagyu and Häagen-Dazs in the price—such a great deal! My whole family left super full and happy. The service was amazing—friendly, attentive, drinks always refilled, and plates cleared right away. 10/10 service. Highly recommend!

This place is very unique, fun, and interactive. Similar to some Korean bbq style places, here, you get a base of soup, and then you order your meat from the server. While they are getting your meats, you walk over to the toppings bar and serve yourself your own toppings and dipping sauces. Everything is unlimited so you can order as much mean, toppings, and drinks as you want. It’s also BYOB so if you’re in the mood for beer, wine, alcohol, you can walk over to Foodland and pick up some drinks and bring them right over. The cooking portion of this experience is the most fun part because you can cook your meat how you want and only cook what you want. It’s great for families with kids as well. They get to cook their own food.

This was my first time visiting. This place is amazing and has super friendly staff. They are a buffet place and have plenty of options available from vegetables, meat and seafood. They have different prices for differ and lunch and for kids and adults. The lunch price is until 3pm but as long as you get there before this time, you can sit as long as you want and can keep ordering as well. You make the food your self in a hot soup pot on the table you are sitting. You also get the sauce you want by mixing different sauces you want. They even offer unlimited soda for $1 only which is fantastic. Totally recommended restaurant, especially if you want buffet seafood.
