Brick Oven Pizza (s)
About
A Slice of Local Tradition
Since its inception, Brick Oven Pizza has become a staple for West Oʻahu residents looking for no-nonsense, high-quality pies. Tucked away in the heart of Kapolei, this spot carries the legacy of Kauaʻi-born roots, bringing that distinct, scorched-crust charm to our side of the island. The aroma of bubbling mozzarella and toasted dough hits you the moment you pull open the door, cutting through the tropical air.
The Craft of the Crust
What sets this kitchen apart is the dedication to the sourdough crust, which is prepared daily. It strikes a balance between a sturdy crunch and a chewy center that holds up against heavy toppings. If you are leaning toward a signature experience, the 'BOP Special' is the local go-to, loaded with a generous spread of meats and fresh vegetables. The kitchen staff moves with a practiced rhythm, sliding pies into the intense heat of their stone ovens until the edges reach a perfect, charred blister.
The Atmosphere
The space is built for casual family gatherings and post-beach hangouts. It is loud, vibrant, and mirrors the communal energy of a classic neighborhood pizzeria. You will find picnic-style benches and a steady hum of conversation that fills the room. A small word of advice: during the dinner rush, the parking lot can get a bit cramped as the Kapolei crowds descend, so plan accordingly. If you appreciate a place that prioritizes flavor and heritage over flashy interior design, this is your home base for lunch or dinner.

Quality food! Both for dining-in and for take-out. Everybody in the family can find something they love on their menu. You can tell this is a family run business and the workers are like a family. Great for families or going out with friends. We love BOP, definitely our go to place to eat and drink!

We will not come back!!! You all know how many reviews I have done and I never post too negative but I hate it when a place is ruined by one person. In this case the manager of all people. Savanna needs to remember the golden rule in this business- the customer is always right even when they may be be wrong. My daughter has an onion sensitivity and we have to be extra careful. Maybe it was just a bad day but we are not willing to find out. The pizza was delicious and our server was amazing. It can get loud in there and the clam chowder tasted like fish chowder just so you know. They did take it off the bill which was very nice and appreciated.

Best pizza on this side of the island. Crispy crust, great flavor, and friendly, fast service every time. Outdoor seating is a big plus for us. Relaxed vibes and always a place we enjoy coming back to.

We’re frequent guests here, and this place never disappoints! The pizza is absolutely delicious we usually order half-and-half with two different flavors, and we’re always very happy with it. It’s so good that even the crusts get eaten every time. The wings are amazing, the onion rings are crispy and flavorful, and both we and our kids always leave satisfied. The service is wonderful — we love sitting outside because it’s nice and cool, and the staff never forgets about us. Drinks are always refilled, they check in to see if we need anything, but they’re never pushy. Very pleasant atmosphere, great service, and truly delicious pizza. Highly recommend!

We ordered a custom pizza, the pupu (like garlic cheese bread but with a thin crust, and a tossed salad. So delicious! Strong pizza joint with a pub like vibe.

Absolutely delicious! We tried the cinnamon sugar dessert pizza, the Ultimeat pizza, and the chicken fettuccine Alfredo — every single dish was spot-on. The hand-tossed crust was worth every penny, perfectly baked with great texture, and the pasta was rich, flavorful, and cooked just right. I’ve seen some reviews complaining about prices, but honestly, that’s just the reality of Oahu’s cost of living. Ingredients are expensive here, so naturally prepared food will reflect that. For what you get, the quality makes it more than fair. Service was excellent as well — friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. One tip if you’re ordering carry-out: double-check you’re calling the right island’s location. It’s surprisingly easy to accidentally call Kauai thinking you’re talking to Oahu! Highly recommend.

This pizza shop feels so unassuming. It’s simple and doesn’t try to be more than it is. The bruschetta is the best on the island and they make all their pizza sauces in house which provides a higher quality taste. The pizza has the perfect amount of crunch in each bite and is my first choice if pizza is on the menu.

My wife, our daughter & son-in-law, and I were craving pizza and beer after a long beach day, and a Google search revealed this venue nearby our AirBnb with a 4.2 rating, so we thought we'd give it a go.. Aside from a little less than fully attentive server, our experience with Brick Oven Pizza was largely positive.. We sampled the "Cajun" chicken wings (7 pcs) as an appetizer and shared a large pizza topped as follows: ½ double pepperoni & ½ pepperoni, Italian sausage, and jalapeños.. I think we expected our chicken wings to be "tossed" in a Cajun-oriented sauce, but they were delivered tableside without any sauce and "might" have been slightly sprinkled with some sort of "Cajun" seasoning at best.. That said, they were fresh, crisp, and tasted great, especially after they were drizzled with hot sauce, which we ordered on the side.. Our pizza was the star of the show.. Amply topped, the entire pie was quite flavorful, and the garlic butter infused crust made this pizza "pop!" There was nothing we didn't like about this pizza!! Our beers were served cold, just as they should be, and all in all, we enjoyed our first visit here..

Once we started we weren't ordering alcoholic drinks, our server treated us like trash. The servers that weren't ours were nicer and more attentive than the one that was assigned to us! Regret even leaving a tip. The pizza also doesn't taste like "Brick Oven". It wasn't horrible tasting, but more like false advertising.

We were visiting from the continental 48 and we were looking for something more like home. This place was great. Honestly some of the best pizza I've had. We got the calamari to start which was great. Then we got the meat lovers which was the star. The pizza was nicely loaded and cooked just right. The crust had a nice crunch to it. Then we followed it up with a pineapple chicken. It wasn't like a traditional one. This wasn't bad though. I actually enjoyed it more that what you would normally get. The chicken seemed very fresh. If you stop here's try the ranch. It's a homemade ranch. I want to say it's the best ranch I've had in my life. Our waitress was also great. She gave us recommendations from the menu that didn't disappoint. She also took care of us. Give this place a try if you are in the area!
