Catch the Game at Y's Sports Bar & Grill
Situated in the heart of Honolulu, Y's Sports Bar & Grill serves as a reliable local hub for fans who prefer their football alongside a cold beer and comfort food. This isn't a place for white-tablecloth pretense; it is a straightforward, unvarnished space where the flicker of multiple screens defines the lighting and the roar of the crowd provides the soundtrack.
A Localized Approach to Pub Grub
The menu focuses on the staples you crave during a playoff run. Expect generous portions of deep-fried appetizers and burgers that prioritize satiety over artisanal flair. It’s the kind of menu that pairs perfectly with a long afternoon of watching regional sports teams. While you are grabbing a pint, you might notice the space feels a bit lived-in, but that is exactly what locals appreciate—a no-frills environment where you don't have to worry about spilling a little mustard on the table.
Why Choose Y's?
If you are exploring the neighborhoods surrounding the Honolulu urban core and find yourself needing a reliable spot to watch a game without the typical tourist traffic of the major beachfront hotels, this bar hits the mark. Parking can occasionally be a bit tight depending on the game schedule, so arrive a few minutes early to secure a spot before the kickoff. It is an ideal spot for groups of friends looking to escape the sun and settle into a booth for a few hours of camaraderie and competition.

A quiet little place on weekdays, but seems pretty packed otherwise. But they got darts and pool, 6 dollar drinks and you can choose the songs for a small fee.

Dive bar with 3 pool tables and dart board. Strong cheap drinks.

We were on the lookout for a bar with dart boards and stumbled upon this place. They have at least four dart boards available, but when we arrived, there were several players already occupying them. The bar is quite small, and it felt crowded even with just around 15 people inside. While the atmosphere is mellow, we ultimately decided to head elsewhere because we needed more space to play darts. Overall, it seems like a decent spot, but it might be better suited for a quieter night.

4 stars because i was looking for a dive bar with cheap drinks and that is exactly what this place is to a T. 1 extra star because the bartender was one of the best i’ve ever had. I did not have any food but they offered free manapua’s when i was there solidifying my 5 star review

Absolutely love this place. The staff will do everything possible to accommodate and have no problem doing it with a smile on their face. Food is delicious. Mitch is a fantastic host. Would recommend time and time again.

Nicole is a really good bar tender, with a friendly personality, the place is a hidden gem with a small parking lot. It's super dark and cool inside, a chill little cave! Great little escape, local and pool table, excellent vibe, snacks and dinner after 4pm. Kama' aina, but leave the keiki home, Mahalo.

Not the worst bar by any means but definitely a generic, no frills local watering hole. They did have a pretty clean 6' pool table that looked like locals from the neighborhood would get together to play on. There were a few guys that came in that all had their own pool cues in cases and knew one another. Probably a good time...for them. NO beers on tap and only your typical generic beers in bottles. Bartender was nice, I grabbed a Corona ($5) since I stopped in top check the place out. Just been wandering through all the bars in waking proximity to our new place to see what's out there for the wife and I. There were 2x TV's at the bar. They did have plexiglass dividers between every 2x seats at the bar for COVID. They've got bathrooms but didn't use them. Don't think I'll be back mainly because of the lack of beer on tap and for being too boring. I'd unfortunately rather drink at home and watch tv than pay to drink generic beer out of a bottle here. Unless I had a friend who wanted to shoot some pool. I don't think I've seen pool at any of the other bars in walking distance from our place now that I think about it. But forgot to check how much each game is and if they offered pool cues? I do recall them having a change machine too.

Pretty low key sports bar with outdated furniture and colors. Four dart game boards, a pool table, and a good and joyful bar tender and server. Nothing on draft, all bottles, but the price is right and was able to host our party of 12 easily. Good place to hangout if you want low key and to play darts.

Great employees. avg drink prices. Pool table is not shared and usually full of league play. Same with the darts. The place has and will karaoke but they frown on people who sing, mostly cause the crowd chats it up and doesnt want to scream over the music. Im not a regular but i know some are daily patrons. Basic nice dive bar.
