A Slice of Italy in the Heart of Honolulu

Stepping into Win-Spuntino feels less like walking into a restaurant and more like discovering a hidden neighborhood trattoria tucked away from the main tourist drag of Waikiki. The air here carries the faint, comforting scent of roasted garlic and simmering San Marzano tomatoes, instantly grounding you in the culinary traditions of Italy.

Handcrafted Pasta and Coastal Ingredients

This spot is a sanctuary for those who prioritize house-made noodles over trendy fusion. The kitchen focuses on precision, turning out perfectly al dente pasta that maintains a satisfying chew. You will find that the menu leans heavily on fresh, local island seafood, bridging the gap between Mediterranean techniques and Hawaii’s abundant ocean bounty. It is the kind of place where you come for a quiet, long dinner rather than a rushed meal, making it an ideal choice for a low-key date night or a deep-dive conversation with friends.

The Local Pulse

Be prepared for a compact, intimate dining room that can get quite lively as the evening progresses. The energy is infectious, though if you prefer a whisper-quiet environment, you might find the conversation from neighboring tables spills over easily—a sign of a place that is clearly well-loved by locals. If you are driving, give yourself a few extra minutes to navigate the street parking common to the area, but the reward is a genuine meal that skips the pretense often found in more central urban dining spots.

Why Choose This Honolulu Gem?

Win-Spuntino succeeds because it doesn't try to be everything to everyone. Instead, it offers a focused, reliable menu that respects the simplicity of Italian cooking. Whether you are craving a robust glass of red wine alongside a well-composed antipasto plate or a classic saucy entree, the experience is consistent and unhurried.

Amazing food, great service, cute atmosphere. If you didn't know it you'd walk right past the small doorway to the greatest pasta place.

It was a long but nice walk from the beach. Food was really good. Extensive Italian menu with very big portions. Marie was very friendly (server) you can bring your own beer and wine. Would definitely recommend.

The only bright spot was the gentleman who served us. This place had high prices, so you would assume good food, but the food was awful. All the proteins were overcooked and the alfredo was runny. Six of us ate at this restaurant and all the adults did not finish their food, and we got snacks at the grocery store next door. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant.

We enjoy dining at this local business. The food is consistent and good. The service is good. The only downside is the location, they are located on the second floor of a building with only stairs to access. Definitely

I go to this place a lot. Good size portions. Prices are reasonable and the owner is very friendly. I have never had a dish that I did not like. I've never tried them, but I've heard the cheesecake is very good.

This is an Hawaiian-Italian restaurant, not an authentic Italian eatery. Every dish is a pasta dish here and no pizzas. The ribeye shrimp pasta was pretty good with an A for the ribeye. The salad was decent as well, but the lamb chop pasta was too sweet, but the actual lamb chop in medium was okay. The homemade cheesecake was okay, but nothing special.

Delicious, affordable, simple service. I've been going here for a few years now! Decided to introduce my bf to this place recently:) I get something new every time and I'm never disappointed. Do yourself a favor though, and park a bit far away to avoid the people crowding up parking by Foodland. Definitely not a fancy place by any means, but doesn't matter to me as long as the food is yummy. Portions are fairly big as well.

I thought the Lasagna was a huge portion, when ordering take out a dozen times. Turns out, if you order dine in, it's even bigger. Showed up on table as a 6" tall massive pile of delicious pasta. I struggled to finish even half of this monster lasagna. Adding pics of original dish, halfway thru, and when I officially gave up and took rest home. I would normally say, "no garlic bread included", but there simply is not any room left over for bread with this dish. I watched as a 90lb young college girl ordered this right after me. I could only laugh as it arrived in front of her like a mountain of food. For $14.25, you cannot go wrong. This is a family meal sized plate of food. Good luck eating it all in one sitting!

Good food. Well prepared, large portions. If you’re in the back corner by the corner it can be chilly as the AC unit overhead for the kitchen will draft your way. Nothing wrong with this, I’m sure it’s hot in the kitchen, but just be mindful of where you sit if sensitive to cold. Location is upstairs right next to the Foodland, just go up the stairs.
