Village Bottle Shop & Tasting Room
About
A Curated Pour in Kaka'ako
Tucked within the vibrant Salt at Our Kaka'ako complex, Village Bottle Shop & Tasting Room serves as the neighborhood's premier destination for beer enthusiasts. The space is bright and airy, defined by high ceilings and a clean, industrial aesthetic that feels right at home in Honolulu's modern dining scene. It is the perfect spot for those who prefer a quiet afternoon flight over the frantic pace of typical Waikiki nightlife.
Unmatched Selection
This isn't your average taproom. With a focus on high-end craft beer, the menu rotates constantly, highlighting rare bottles and hard-to-find kegs from both local Hawaiian breweries and prestigious mainland labels. The staff possesses a deep technical knowledge of brewing styles, making it an excellent resource for anyone looking to expand their palate beyond standard lagers. If you are indecisive, their staff recommendations are consistently spot-on, favoring complex sours and hop-forward IPAs.
The Local Rhythm
While the atmosphere remains sophisticated and relaxed, be aware that the space can echo during peak evening hours when the after-work crowd spills in from nearby offices. It is an ideal setting for a casual meeting or a solo drink while people-watching through the expansive glass frontage. Grab a seat at the bar to get the best view of the curated tap wall, or snag a table outdoors to enjoy the salt-tinged breeze that characterizes the Kaka'ako district. It remains a essential stop for anyone serious about the evolution of the craft beverage scene in Hawaii.

Great location to get a beer, shop for hard-to-find brands and styles, and just enjoy a reprise from the hustle and bustle of the Kaka'ako scene. Food menu is sparse, but the beers great!

This is an excellent spot if you like beer. They have very many different types of beers available. Friendly service and good food. I highly recommend the Pineapple Mana

First of all, they have to trivia on Tuesdays, which is a pretty cool vibe. I initially stumbled upon this place by going there for an Oktoberfest event, and I've been pleasantly surprised ever since. The space is very clean, and the coolest part about this shop is their incredible selection flexibility. If you're not digging what they have on tap, you can select literally anything from their massive options in the refrigerators. They will charge you a nominal $2 corkage/service fee to put it into a glass for you to enjoy right there! Another great feature is that they even have some hard seltzer options if beer and wine are not your thing. It's also conveniently located in SALT Kakaʻako, so the energy and atmosphere around the area are pretty cool. Definitely a good place to check out for any craft beverage enthusiast!

Pillage bottle shop is such a sick spot for pub food and amazing beer. The selection that village has is endless. They have an amazing selection on tap from local to other breweries from all over the place. Can’t go wrong with getting flight and they even let you sample the beer. They also have a little market that you can buy beer or all types of drinks that they let you drink at the bar or at your table. The food is also amazing!! You really can’t go wrong when you come to village bottle shop.

Village Bottle Shop is such a cool hangout spot inside SALT at Kakaʻako. It’s a beer lovers’ paradise. There’s tons of beers on tap, plus a fridge full of other drinks (think seltzers, Hawaiian specialty brews, non-alcoholic options, and more). It has a super laid-back vibe, it’s easy to grab a table, and everyone working there is friendly. Perfect for grabbing a drink with friends before dinner or just chilling on a weekend.

I want to love this place, but we need to agree to just be friends. It's me not you, really. You've got an awesome beer selection on and off tap. Perfect location. Nice crowd with interesting people. But I'm a simple guy. I like a pint of beer that tastes great where I can just sit and chill with friends. When I'm with you, I feel inadequate. Like I'm supposed to know which combination of hops are best or appreciate the interplay between the citrus notes with earthy woodiness. I'll come visit for sure, but you and I are on different paths. But, ahh, I do keep coming back. Like googling an old flame, I sit, reminisce, and enjoy the moment. And the past. And wonder about the future.

Chill atmosphere, good selection of rotating beer taps both international and locally brewed. The refrigerated bottle selection of beers is extensive, and well organised by style. Staff are knowledgeable and willing to help. Outdoor seating is available, which is fun. Family-friendly beer bar. If you want food, you can bring your own.. Wine is also available draught.

Always the best place to get your craft beer fix. There are always a constant rotation of new and unique taps and a huge refrigerator full of bottles or cans. You can either consume these cans and bottles at the bar (for a small corkage fee) or you can get them to go and enjoy them at home! You will never be disappointed with their offerings. Also they utilize the TapHunter app so you can check what they have on tap and how much is remaining in each keg before you're even on the premises! I've included photos of the variety of brews I've tasted over the past couple of weeks.

Where the best new beers are at in Honolulu! This place always has a rotating tap. They bring in new and interesting beers. I like that you can grab some bottle for home too. The decor is clean and industrial. It's an intimate place. I personally like the big shared table and the atmosphere to inspire conversations among new friends. They offer a military discount- nice!
