Torikyu

The food here is very delicious. We ordered nearly everything on the menu, ended up paying about $75 per person, and left completely full. The Highlights: The skewers are the star of the show, especially the chicken ones. The fried beef is also awesome and highly recommended. The Downsides: The hotpot was just so-so and didn't really live up to the rest of the food. Service-wise, it could use some improvement—the waiter didn't refill our water timely and made a couple of mistakes with our order. Overall though, the food makes it worth it and we had a good experience.

Great place to hangout for a yakitori, has nice music, awesome food, and perfect for birthdays and celebrations. The locals who had their sake and asahi beer in a pitcher enjoyed their drinks too. To order, you tick off from a checklist paper. It has English on one side and Japanese on the other side. The server who went to our table also speaks Japanese. You can ask for more of the checklist paper if you want to order more. Loved the takoyaki! The salad and greens were delicious. The meat was very rich and tasty, we easily enjoyed a second order after finishing the first round of meat. Hot tea (barley) was good match with the meal that kept me eating well. The dessert special is super good! Loved the yogurt and honey gelato. They don’t have it all the time. Sometimes there’s cakes and pastry. Come here early because parking space can be challenging. You can also have a reservation ahead of time. Delightful visit, a local favorite hangout indeed!

Torikyu is a must visit. We enjoyed the chicken tail, quail egg, chicken thigh, and beef skewers the most. Everything we had was delicious. The staff is very friendly and their Chuhai’s are fantastic.
