The Edge of Waikiki
About
A Front-Row Seat to the Pacific
Positioned right where the golden sands of Waikiki meet the deep blue of the Pacific, The Edge of Waikiki serves as the ultimate vantage point for sunset enthusiasts. The atmosphere here is defined by the constant, rhythmic lull of crashing waves and the clinking of glasses against an open-air backdrop. It is the kind of place where time seems to slow down, specifically crafted for those who prefer their Mai Tais with a side of salt air and panoramic horizon views.
Island Classics with a Modern Breeze
The menu leans heavily into refreshed island staples, focusing on refreshing, fruit-forward cocktails that play off the humidity of Honolulu evenings. Their signature approach pairs light, citrus-infused spirits with local garnishes, making it an ideal pitstop after a long afternoon in the surf. While the drinks are undeniably the star, the real draw remains the proximity to the water; you are practically sitting on the ocean, though be prepared to move quickly if the sea spray picks up during a high tide.
The Waikiki Crowd
The energy shifts throughout the day—shifting from a casual, sun-drenched lounge for travelers cooling off after beach time to a sophisticated, amber-lit retreat as night falls over the Honolulu coastline. It gets busy, and finding a prime spot near the railing during the golden hour requires a bit of patience, but the sight of the sky turning violet over the water makes the wait worth it. Whether you are grabbing a quick pre-dinner refresher or settling in for an evening of live music echoes, this spot captures the quintessential, carefree spirit of Hawaii without the pretension.

The place is beautiful. Great atmosphere and wait staff was good. The drinks were good but the food was horrible. The chicken fingers with fries tasted like they were frozen. We ordered two orders of chicken fingers, a turkey sandwich (small and pricy), a salad(good), shrimp bowl (ok), 1 beer and 3 mix drinks with tip $250+. Ridiculous!!

I had one of the worst bar service experiences of my life at The Edge in Hawaii by the Sheraton, and bartender Margie was the reason. From the moment I approached the bar, I was completely ignored. No greeting. No acknowledgment. No “I’ll be right with you.” Just blatant disregard, as if my presence was an inconvenience. When she finally interacted with me, her attitude was nasty, dismissive, and openly rude. Asking simple questions was met with irritation and zero effort to be helpful. This wasn’t just bad service — it was hostile. Margie made it crystal clear she didn’t care whether I was there or not, which is mind-blowing at a bar attached to a Sheraton property that claims to offer hospitality. This is not what anyone expects when visiting a resort bar in Hawaii, where warmth and aloha should be the bare minimum. The Edge has a great location and so much potential, but experiences like this completely ruin it. If management cares at all about guest experience or their reputation, they need to seriously address the behavior behind that bar. One bartender can absolutely destroy an otherwise beautiful venue — and Margie did exactly that. Save yourself the frustration unless something changes. This was embarrassing, disappointing, and entirely unacceptable.

Only ordered drinks at the Edge patio bar. Very flavorful mai tai. You don't taste the alcohol, but it sneaks up in you. Hehehe. Right on the beach. Live relaxing music. Great sunset view.

What a place! We have stayed been to the Sheraton in the past, but didn't spend a lot of time at the Edge. Fantastic location. Closest bar you will find to the beach! The service at the bar area was outstanding. Thank you Loc's and Margie for a great experience! You guys are exceptional! The views were unreal! Live music was great.

Very nice, direct view of the sea. Pleasant live music (guitar & vocals). Juices and cocktails in disposable plastic cups, taste OK. Friendly service.

Very nice bar to dine outside and enjoy the ocean view and sunset. I just got a few drinks, nothing major or to boast about. The bacon cheeseburger isnt a lil burger, I'll tell you that much. It felt like a pound of meat. I had to finish the rest without the bun and it was still a bit left over, you definitely will get your money's worth. And I had a lil friend that sat with me for a bit 🥰

Drinks: A+ Location: A++ Service: A Atmosphere: A Couldn't really ask for a better place to have a drink. The views are breathtaking. Obviously went with a Mai Tai, was great. Highly recommended. (Did not eat, so only basing this off the drinks)

Our flight was delayed for 5 hours so we spent time here after we checked out. I am glad that we had the opportunity because we typically hang out in the infinity pool (because it is so beautiful) and don't usually sit at the bar. The best part of this experience was the bartender Locks (Locksey)-she is so down to earth, friendly and the type of person who makes you feel at home immediately! The drinks, cheeseburger and view also made for a great time!

I really would have love to rate this place higher. The scenery is nice. The seating is a bit limited but overall my issue is around the quality of the food. Most of the food here is subpar and not matching the quality expected of Sheraton. After a few tries, we decided to eat in neighboring restaurants for quick bite.
