A Gaucho-Style Feast in the Heart of Waikiki

Stepping into Texas de Brazil brings a slice of Southern Brazil directly to Honolulu. The dining room buzzes with the rhythmic energy of roaming passadores—gauchos dressed in traditional attire—moving from table to table with skewers of flame-grilled meats. It is a high-octane experience where the sound of carving knives hitting wooden boards is the soundtrack of the evening.

The Unlimited Meat Experience

The centerpiece here is the continuous tableside service. You control the flow with a simple two-sided card: green for "go" and red for "stop." Expect a heavy focus on seasoned picanha, garlic-marinated sirloin, and bacon-wrapped chicken breasts. The open-fire rotisserie cooking imparts a deep, smoky char that contrasts well with the chilled offerings at the fifty-item salad bar. You will find everything from imported cheeses and cured meats to hearts of palm and feijoada, the traditional Brazilian black bean stew.

What to Expect During Your Visit

This Waikiki hotspot leans into a polished, upscale aesthetic, making it a go-to for celebratory dinners or groups looking for a substantial meal after a day on the beach. While the service is relentless and efficient, the space can get quite loud during peak hours, creating a boisterous atmosphere that feels more like a festive banquet hall than an intimate bistro. It is best to arrive with a significant appetite, as the pacing is fast and the variety of proteins is designed to test your limits. Be prepared for a short walk from the nearby parking structures, as the bustling city center layout makes street-side spots a rare commodity in this part of Honolulu.

My husband and I immensely enjoyed coming here! We came on a Thursday night and it wasn't too busy. We were greeted right away and sat at a table. Our server Gueda was very attentive and took great care of us! We also had another person come by and check on us several times to make sure we were good. The various meat selections were great, and they kept coming by our table the whole time we were there. We got caiparinhas and they came in different flavors. I'm not a big meat eater, so I just had the all you can eat salad bar which was more than enough. We would come again and we highly recommend it!

I did not know what to expect dining here. Came here for brunch on a Saturday for their buffet. More Mediterranean side dishes on the buffet lines with some few hot items. The meat brought to table side. It was good portions and I feel I don't have to eat all of it, just perfect amount. Although you can actually sit there and eat all the meat they bring to your table and that's way too much, in my opinion. We had a very nice gentleman who served us while he also tends the bar as well. This is a perfect place for groups and special occasions. The only thing I didn't like here, is the spaces between tables. It was a bit cramped, tables were too close to other guests.

Had a great experience at Texas de Brazil. The environment and service was so inviting and the food was really delicious! Picanha was my favorite. ❤️ Fresh fries, mash potatoes and a super sweet cinnamony banana was also placed on the table for free and to help clear your palette. Delicious ciabatta bread like no other and delicious cheese Brazilian bread. Thank you to Lucy and Lucas for this awesome service! Super kind and helpful as this was our first time there. Recommend this place! When we went in April 2026, Tuesdays offer 20% discount for Kamaaina.

I waited for this restaurant to open and let me tell you, it was definitely worth the wait. What an incredible experience. From the hostess Giulia who greeted me with a warm smile and got me the table I wanted right away, to my awesome waitress Constanza who made sure all the cuts brought to me were perfect cooked medium well. The great servers that brought the cuts Ryan, Leo, Steve. You guys made sure I had a fresh cut on my plate constantly! All the way up the chain to the GM Jordan who came to check on me to make sure everything was to my liking and took the time to see how I’ve enjoyed my visit to this beautiful Island. I can’t say enough good things about this place and these awesome people. Coming here has been the highlight of my vacation. Thank you all!

We had a wonderful time with a group of 20 students from my school in Japan. We had been in Hawaii for a few hours when we went, and everyone was feeling tired, but the staff gave me and my students an amazing experience that made us all happy. Wyatt was our server, and he was friendly throughout, and obviously knew his products inside and out. Lots of good quality meat and a lovely desert to finish the visit - what a great memory! Sorry - no phots of the meat being cut since students’ faces are included.

BIG MAHALO to our sweet, hardworking server, Kelly. She and the Texas De Brazil Gauchos made my husband's 60th birthday celebration 100% perfect. We enjoyed the opportunity to sing, talk story, and laugh together. Head Honcho John graciously made sure our first full-experience was all it could be. Top notch atmosphere, service, presentation and a truly onolicious, broke dah mouth meal. The desserts were unreal! We had the key lime pie and citrus creme brulé. Here's a pix of my first plate from the salad bar -- doesn't reflect even half the offerings! Our son, who has been to other Texas De Brazil restaurants in the states, gave the Hawai'i branch No Ka 'Oi status! Ho'omaika'i gang!

The meat on the side was delicious, it was made by charcoal fire, which gives it that smoky flavor. The homemade dressing was delicious, it had a hint of honey flavor with something special. The service was great, they always come when you're out of drinks or food, they are very polite. The manager comes to check if everything is okay, which is great service. Thanks to the chef who works hard on the food they make and the server who works hard. I love the chocolate cake, not much of a sweet tooth, but it was just the right amount of sweet to share with family. The restaurant was super clean, they always pick up the plates that were empty, always check if we have water or drink or food on our plates. The sides for what you want to pick were always full.

Texas de Brazil is the all you can eat, gut loading equivalent to Korean BBQ or Japanese hot pot. But it's Brazilian so it's good in a different way. If you are going to do it right go in hungry and be prepared to drop $100 a person. It's meat!!! Lots and lots of meat!!! Who wouldn't love it? Well, a vegetarian wouldn't, don't bring them here. No one wasts to eat tasty animals while someone goes on about the ethical reasons to eat tasty animals. Also, all the beef is rare, good luck trying to get anything well done. My wife likes steaks somewhere between shoe leather and charcoal. She wasn't impressed with this places meats. So a return trip isn't going to happen. The salad bar was phenomenal. It has good quality ingredients. I would go back just for it, if it was price conducive, it is not. The desserts were great so save room. All in all it was an experience that I enjoyed. For me it was a new type of dining experience, which I am always for. Would I go back as a repeat customer, no I would not. Would I go with someone that has not tried it before, yes I would and I would enjoy the experience again through their eyes. Over all it was good with no real complaints.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unforgettable dining experience – thanks to Jaden! Just had the BEST visit to Texas de Brazil, and it’s all because of our server, Jaden. From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, warm, and a true gentleman. He guided us through the menu with patience, kept the gaucho service flowing perfectly, and made every moment feel special. The food was incredible, but Jaden’s hospitality turned a great meal into a memorable night. Highly recommend requesting Jaden — he’s a gem!
