We had an amazing time! Our Chef was Scott and he was so accomplished and handled my dairy allergy perfectly! Highly recommend this restaurant. Ask for Scott. Wonderful time. The manager Eduardo was great to and very attentive. Fun atmosphere!

Our chef Sean brought the Hawaiian vibes to life with an amazing dinner! His high-energy performance and impressive fire show made the night unforgettable. We came to celebrate our child’s birthday, and the surprise birthday song meant so much to us. Highly recommended!

Our experience was diminished by seating us with a large party of 7 people who were celebrating an anniversary and a graduation. From the beginning we felt almost invisible, the photographer took many pics in several poses of the party and when it was our turn, click click and done. Although the food was good, the overall experience was lost on us, the cook or performer, barely glanced at us. What should have been an entertaining dinner was a dud. You would think management would have given some thought to this problem, there were several tables with 1 or 2 couples we could've been seated with. Sorry to be so negative, but the whole reason for eating at a place like this was to have a good time, not to feel like an afterthought.

We had a great chef, Scott. His show was exciting and he proved why he had the blue chef's hat. I have been there and Tanaka Ala Moana probably 100 times in the last 18 years. Scott prepared everyone's food perfectly. We are very happy with our experience. We will return many times in the future. Marty Griego

Amazing experience at Tanaka of Tokyo! I visited at the end of January and I'm still thinking about the delicious food and fun experience. Probably my favorite meal of my trip to Waikiki. They truly cook everything to perfection and my steak was one of the best I've had and I'm from Alberta where we're known for our beef. Very entertaining while they cook for you, truly a show in itself. My first teppanyaki experience as well and I really hope to visit again one day, highly recommend. My group had a reservation so there was no wait for us, we were sat with 4 others that we didn't know but ended up making some new friends which was also a highlight of the trip to Honolulu for us.

Food 10/10! Our server was so attentive. Chef Anthony was amazing! & Manager Ed by far the coolest energetic manager I’ve ever met. Him and Anthony gave us a 5 star experience FOR SURE.

Kaila, Joseph, and Cody were amazing! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they made every effort to make it super special for us. The food was amazing and the service was somehow better! We can’t wait to return. Keep up the good work!

Excellent experience on all fronts. Antony our chef was awesome! Funny, witty, great showmanship, confidence, and reasonably humble :) food was cooked perfectly, seasoned just enough as well all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Steaks and lobsters, fish and veggies, we were all (6 of us) stuffed and smiling when we left. Our bill was a little over $1100 bucks including little more than 20% percent tip, worth every penny. Our experience was amazing! I would 100% recommend this place! Our greeting, service, and the show was a 10000/10. The food was also amazing with great flavor and options! I had the lychee martini and it was delicious. Great dinner recommendation for sure!
