Summer Frappe
About
A Cool Escape from Waikiki Heat
When the sun hits its peak over Honolulu, locals head to Summer Frappe for a necessary reset. This isn’t your average coffee stand; it operates with a laser focus on high-energy, ice-cold creations that define the island’s modern beverage scene. You’ll hear the constant hum of high-powered blenders competing with the distant rhythm of surf rolling into the nearby shoreline.
The Signature Blend
The shop is best known for its vibrant, fruit-forward frappes that utilize fresh, locally sourced ingredients rather than artificial syrups. Their signature mango-passion fruit fusion delivers a sharp, tangy kick that cuts through the humidity of a typical afternoon in Waikiki. The texture is consistently velvety, avoiding that icy, watered-down consistency found at larger chain competitors. It is a grab-and-go experience that favors efficiency, so don't expect a lounge setting—the space is compact and strictly functional.
Local Vibe and Quirks
Situated right in the heart of the tourist-heavy districts of Honolulu, the storefront provides a quick, refreshing break between shopping trips or beach walks. Be prepared for a slight wait during the midday rush, as the small counter area can become quite packed. It is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a brisk, high-quality drink that captures the flavor profile of the Pacific without the fluff. The minimalist design allows the colorful, layered drinks to serve as the main attraction, making them an easy target for those looking to snap a quick photo before the ice begins to melt.

The ower and his mother were nice and welcoming. They recommended getting any of the combination fruit smoothies, but I went with a simple mango smoothie. The portions of the smoothie was large, good enough for two people and worth the price. I've noticed most people that came in, called in their orders and parked right in front of the cafe and off they went. Besides smoothies they also have a variety of Vietnamese sandwiches, rolls, teas, and coffees.

Best smoothies! Just heaps of fresh fruit. A regular stop for us, and one we frequently share with others when they visit. Small operation, but worth the wait. I often get smoothies for my work crews.
