Subway - Honolulu (Pensacola St)
About
Fresh Ingredients in the Heart of Honolulu
Located right off the busy thoroughfare of Pensacola Street, this Subway offers a reliable stop for those navigating the urban sprawl of Honolulu. Whether you are grabbing a quick lunch before heading toward the Ala Moana shopping district or fueling up for an afternoon at the beach, the workflow here is designed for speed. The scent of oven-baked bread greets you the moment you step inside, cutting through the tropical humidity of the street.
Customized Convenience
The beauty of this location lies in its predictability. You can watch your footlong being assembled exactly to your preference, from the crisp lettuce and cucumbers to the savory deli meats. It remains a go-to spot for locals needing a consistent, no-fuss meal without the wait times of a sit-down restaurant. While the parking can get a bit tight during the peak lunch hour rush when commuters flood the area, the efficient service typically keeps the line moving quickly.

Not good at all. Tried to go here for something to eat several minutes before their scheduled closing time at 4pm and door was already locked. Employee was just leaning elbows on counter on their mobile phone.

PROS: This is a gem of restaurant. Unlike many Subways I've frequented, the bread at this location is consistently fresh and the service is consistently good. This is the way Subway is supposed to be run. Team members are all expert sandwich-makers. I have been frequenting this restaurant 3+ per week and have never been disappointed. CONS: This restaurant has limited availability for parking on a busy street and the small dining area (3 small tables) limits dine-in experiences. You may want to avoid the soup. At $2.50, it's often too diluted with water so that it becomes tasteless, especially the brocolli and cheese soup.

Poor atmosphere, poor customer service, and food looked very old. They don’t take coupons like other subways, the lady working there in the morning didnt look like she wanted to be there and gave me attitude. No reply to my “Thank you”. I guess she has better things to do. Also no gloves when putting cheese on the proofed bread. Nasty. Chips were not fully stocked, cookies and bread were very clearly from yesterday, and no water cup for customers. Instead of buying a drink, I just won’t return and I’ll tell all my friends and family to stay away. It’s like the goal of this subway is to keep customers away. News Flash: not all of your customers are homeless. Won’t be returning.

Ordered 2, 6inch BLTs: 1 add mustard and cheese; 1 add onion, light mayo, light oil. Ordered these via phone for 6:50pm pickup today, 2/23/22. Just went to eat sandwich and this is what I got…I can’t do anything until tomorrow when the store opens bc they closed at 7pm but I am going to ask for a refund because that’s just ridiculous 🤦🏻♀️

I have always been a longtime fan of Subway for its delicious food that is offered. I also enjoy the variety of scrumptious, tasty, and very healthy choices that are available to the customers. I give them 5 stars for the excellent, friendly, and inviting service they provide and I always feel better after I have eaten the food and I am leaving with a smile on my face. I recommend Subway as the perfect place to eat. I agree with the 3.9 stars.

The lady went to answer the call while making my sandwich. She touched all over her phone screen but she did not changed gloves and continued to make my sandwich. Nasty!
