Stripsteak Waikiki

I paid $90 for an “aged” New York strip. The steak came à la carte, so I paid another 25 for some crispy brussel sprouts. The steak was cooked fine, but didn’t have a bit of seasoning and was incredibly chewy. More recently, I paid $24 for a ribeye at Texas Roadhouse, and that steak absolutely blew this one out of the water. It wasn’t even close. My entire meal at Texas Roadhouse cost less than my side of burnt brussel sprouts at Stripsteak. Now I’ve had much better steaks in Hawaii, so I’m not saying Texas roadhouse is some amazing fine dining establishment, but I would 1000% eat there instead of stripsteak even not considering the price. All these 4 and 5 star reviews that you’re seeing? This is from people who expect to have amazing food for the price that they’re paying, and convince themselves that it was actually good so they can justify the big hole in their bank account. It’s not good. Not even close. The service wasn’t bad in my experience, but the food was so horrendous that I can’t justify leaving more than 1 star in any category. I would have appreciated it if the waiter decided to inform me that offering me “water” actually meant a $15 bottle of regular water instead of tap. This place is a tourist trap, don’t fall for it. Everything tastes good when you’ve already convinced yourself that it will.

Absolutely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Food was amazing, one of the most tender steaks ever. Richard, our server, was incredibly kind, attentive, and an overall and amazing waiter and kind soul.

Everything was amazing! Tori was our server and she was perfect! We checked out the menu before making our reservation, some things we wanted to try. We never had Oysters Rockefeller. They were great! I’ve never had a dry-aged steak before, so was originally planning to get the dry-aged prime bone in New York. But, they had a porterhouse special, also dry aged, with their whipped potatoes and sides of their different steak sauces. Was definitely happy overall with the experience. I’ve seen some posts saying small portion sizes, but we were so full we had left overs. Ambience was great. Food was stellar. Service was impeccable. Will definitely be back!

The food was so delicious! It is quite pricey but worth every penny. We ordered the tomahawk steak, tuna rolls, crab cake, and the half dozen oysters. Everything tasted great. The fries come as a service and the sauces were really good as well.

Delayed review. We came here for Christmas Day dinner and really appreciated that they still had many of their regular daily items available instead of forcing everyone into a limited fixed holiday menu — especially helpful for gluten free. They use tamarind in some dishes, which was a nice flavor note, and the indoor/outdoor setting was great. Overall, it was a really nice holiday meal.

Tori was our server for the night and she was all that a server should be and more!!! She made our dining experience special and memorable! The entire Stripsteak team worked together well. Our glasses were always full and unnecessary tableware was always promptly cleared. The Ohana Set Menu was a fantastic deal and we didn't have to think about what to order. Everything was delicious! And no one complained about not having enough to eat! There were a few small issues but Tori immediately addressed them and treated us to a couple of surprises 🥰 My friends who were visiting from Japan claimed that this was the best meal of the trip! Also, even though we were the last table in the restaurant, we never felt rushed or pressured to leave. We were able to fully enjoy our experience until the very end 🙇🏻‍♀️

Service was outstanding. Al the staff and very nice an friendly. Some of the food items were outstanding like the Fries, Mac and Cheese, and miso soup. However, our main dish were terrible. Our upgraded dry aged wagyu was so tough I could barely chew it. The sea bass's sauce was way too sweet that you can no longer taste the fish.

We stopped in at the bar for the tasting menu during happy hour. The food was amazing! Service was great! And the drinks were fabulous! Absolutely recommend eating here while in the city!

Upscale Steakhouse Experience with Impeccable Service! Had an exceptional dining experience at this upscale steakhouse, and I'm still raving about it! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch – attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Our server was fantastic, guiding us through the menu and making excellent recommendations. *The Food:* - *Wagyu Seared on Hot Stone*: ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! The Wagyu steak was cooked to perfection, and the addition of yuzu paste took it to a whole new level. The hot stone presentation added a nice touch. - *French Fries*: Oh. My. God. The fries were CRISPY on the outside, SOFT on the inside, and the sauces were a game-changer. I could've made a meal out of just the fries and sauces! -*Caesar salad”: it was done with excellence. I would call it wedge salad since you must use your stake knife to cut the leaves. I quite enjoyed such a different way of eating the salad. -*Beef tartare*: you must have it was fresh, delicious with the toasted bread. -*Sea bass* - the star of the show. Must try! Delicious and decadent flavor of the sea-bass and sauce it was like fireworks of taste buds and pleasures of the tastes. My friend who loves meat, said it was better than the wagyu steak. Desserts: Pineapple flambé The presentation was STUNNING – a true "wow" factor. However, the taste was a bit bland for my liking. Perhaps a bit more flavor or a different dessert option might elevate it to perfection. *Ambiance:* The upscale atmosphere and décor made us feel like we were in a high-end restaurant. A great change of pace from the beach bars and casual eats. *Overall:* If you're looking for a fancy night out with great service and top-quality food, this steakhouse is a MUST-VISIT. Be sure to order the Wagyu steak and those incredible French fries! We'll definitely be back. *Recommendations:* - Try the Wagyu steak with yuzu paste – trust us, it's worth it! - Order a side of those amazing French fries – you won't regret it! - Consider visiting for a special occasion or date night – the ambiance is perfect for it. World Class Dining Experience, Phenomenal Flavors, the pinnacle of food in my opinion. The food was unbelievably delicious. The service was blown away as they consistently kept up with making sure you had the experience of a life time. Making sure you were always cared for in even the smallest detail possible. You would say it is unreal the experience. We had the 3 courses with an amazing flavors. Each dish made to perfection. By far the best service I ever received in dining experience
