Steak Shack

Amazing vibes, good food, and great overall experience. The steak was tender and paired well with the sweet sauce included. I personally ordered the kalbi plate which was fantastic and perfect for sitting on the beach and eating. I've seen it get very busy during the dinner rush, but right around lunch time (11-1) the wait and line was not too bad.

Four stars only because of the constant upcharges — not because of the food or service. The steak was cooked a perfect medium: tender, juicy and full of flavor. The rice was absolute perfection and the salad was fresh and crisp. Service was friendly and fast, especially considering how busy Waikīkī Beach gets. The only downside for me was feeling a little nickel-and-dimed. Extra for sauce, extra for dressing and even extra for a takeout bag. I get that costs are high in Hawaiʻi, but when most people are grabbing Steak Shack specifically to take down to the beach, charging for a bag feels a little excessive. Other than that, zero complaints. I’ll absolutely be back whenever I want an easy, satisfying beachside meal in Waikīkī.

Steak Shack is definitely worth a stop if you’re in Waikiki. The food was fresh, flavorful, and the steak was cooked well. The steak and salad combo was a great lighter option while still being filling. The biggest thing to know is that this place is popular, so plan ahead and expect a line, especially around dinner time. The wait moved fairly quickly, and the food was worth it. Great casual spot for a tasty meal just steps from the beach. Would definitely come back.

Great plate lunch for the proce! both the steak and chicken were great. will have to come back fri/sat/sun for the wagyu and poke bowls. You can walk right up from the beach and theres plenty of tables along the side to eat

We absolutely loved this place! We ate here several times during our trip. Huge portions and excellent flavor. Good meal to have while traveling. Bonus points because it’s on the beach!!

I found this spot on TikTok so I had to check it out. It's not as cheap as the video I saw but was really good. The steak is tender and fills you up. I only got the 6oz plate and I was satisfied. You can eat your food and look out over the ocean so the view is top notch. Definitely would recommend checking out.

We arrived about ten minutes before they stopped taking orders and I think we ended up waiting about 35-40 minutes until we got our order... however it was so worth it. This place is just an absolute must if you're in Waikiki. The crowd is a testament to how good the food is. Get both the chicken and the steak and share it.

Best food I had during my stay in Waikiki......stayed at the Outrigger Reef hotel all week and only found this gem of a place near the end of my trip. Amazing value, delicious food and can't beat the beach views. Choices are limited (steak/rice/salad or steak & chicken/rice/salad).....but therein lies the beauty of this place....they make a few things and do it right + at a reasonable price....the two times I went there was line-up starting at 10:30am (when they open) but the line moves quickly and you get your food within 3 to 5 min....you get a choice of ranch or italian dressing for your salad and a small container of teriyaki sauce....pro tip is to ask for hot sauce which elevates the meal to the next level....check out my pics before and after sauces (teriyaki and hot sauce) are applied.....I got the steak and chicken combo which by the looks for those around me was the most popular combo....hope you read this review at the start of your Waikiki trip so you get to enjoy this place as many times as possible....hope to slip in a 3rd and final visit to this place before I head back home tomorrow :)

The steak is well seasoned. Quite surprised about the price comparing to the quality of the steak. Ordered for medium - rate, a little bit over cooked. But it tasted good, happy with it.

I was able to order right away at 1PM on a Friday. I ordered the signature 6 oz steak plate. I will say prices have gone up. My food was $17.95. I found a table around the corner in the shade and waited until my name was called. Steak came with a sauce container, slightly spicy, sweet, and tangy. Steak was tender and perfectly medium rare. Salad was fresh. Rice was generous but slightly hard like it didn't have enough time to steam. The view was excellent.
