Starbucks - Honolulu (Kalakaua Ave)

A highlight of my vacation in Waikiki over Memorial weekend. The baristas were very welcoming on each of my stops in, so much so that they remembered my name ;) So thoughtful. And the coffee was perfect :)

Q: What did Homelander order at Starbucks? A: One iced Americano with extra milk. If you got the joke, we should be friends. Teehee! Who in their right mind would go to Hawaii and go to Starbucks? Hear me out. It was my birthday and you know what that means... free drink! Are there amazing, local, coffee spots all over Waikiki? Yes, and you should definitely prioritize spending your hard earned cash there. I digress, but when it's your birthday and you get a free drink, you get the free drink. This Starbucks is in a busy part of Waikiki. Order on the app, get your drink, and go out and enjoy Waikiki. All jokes aside, this really is a solid Starbucks. No complaints. No notes.

Quick, friendly service. Tip: you'll need to ask for the cardboard cup holder. They don't automatically put it on the hot drinks it seems.

There were two small pieces of plastic from the straw in my drink. I picked up the drink on my way to work, so I didn’t start drinking it until I arrived at my workplace. When I did, two small plastic fragments came out into my mouth. I almost swallowed them. Since I was working, I couldn’t go back immediately, so I returned to Starbucks during a short restroom break to ask for a replacement. When I showed the plastic pieces to the male staff member at the counter, he apologized and said he would remake the drink right away. However, a female staff member wearing a black apron and black-rimmed glasses questioned why it had been two hours and said she had never received a complaint like this before. I don’t understand why I was being treated with suspicion. After receiving the new drink, I opened a new straw and checked it, and all of them were cracked. I checked three straws, and they were all damaged. Even after showing the straws to the same staff member who doubted me, she continued to insist that she had never received such a complaint. I had not even drunk the original beverage and endured this for two hours at work, so being treated this way was extremely disappointing. Her service was unacceptable. Please check your straws the longer one, as they all appear to be cracked.

This location likely needs better staff training and communication. Our order was incomplete, and when we returned to address it, we were told we had left before it was ready despite staff having handed us a bag as the order was complete and saying goodbye. There also seemed to be a lack of product knowledge, as we had to explain how one of the drinks should be made. Throughout the visit, staff appeared more focused on chatting with each other than engaging with customers. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. Improving training, order verification, and customer service standards would make it a more aligned Starbucks experience.

Came to this location multiple times during our 10-day stay in Hawaii. Helen gave top-notch service every single visit and was always so friendly!

Best Starbucks I have ever been to! Brie and the employees here are amazing! My daughter spilled my entire drink and they cleaned it up and remade it and gave the kids a treat. If you are in the area! Go to this Starbucks!!

Starbucks announces that McCafe is boldly going where no coffee has gone before, specifically to the future of kids, and it's conveniently located near the beautiful beaches of Waikiki, St. Augustine's Church, and some amazing views, because who doesn't love a fun dining experience with a side of sunrise sunny side ups from heroes eggs and things.

Excellent service FAST when ordering on app and pleasant with nice smile added to cup. Jumped ahead of everyone in line!! Love people watching here & fun listening to al different conversations like 2 guys across way chatting all about their exciting military duties!!

Really nice Starbucks. Staff is fast and friendly. Seating area outside only, but really convenient. This visit I ordered my usual Mocha Frappuccino. Highly recommended stopping by here for you Starbucks needs. Thank you and God Bless Waikiki!
