RumFire Waikiki
About
Electric Evenings on the Waikiki Shoreline
Stepping into RumFire is less about a quiet dinner and more about catching the pulse of Honolulu nightlife. Perched right on the edge of the Pacific, the floor-to-ceiling glass windows capture the shifting colors of the sunset, reflecting off the water as the DJ begins to turn up the volume. It is a space designed for high-energy socializing rather than whispered conversation, making it a go-to spot for travelers and locals looking to kick off a night out.
Signature Flavors and Liquid Courage
The menu leans heavily into contemporary island cuisine with a focus on shareable plates. The kalua pork quesadillas are a staple here, offering a smoky, savory bite that pairs perfectly with their extensive rum collection. Their cocktail program is the real anchor, featuring tropical infusions that favor fresh citrus and dark spirits. Expect a bustling environment where the sound of crashing waves occasionally competes with the clinking of cocktail shakers and upbeat music.
The Rhythm of the Beach
The terrace is the star of the show. Sitting outside, you can feel the salt spray on your face and hear the genuine roar of the ocean—a sensory experience that feels worlds away from the interior lounge. Just a heads up: the proximity to the surf means outdoor seating can get a bit breezy, and on peak nights, the valet line can be a bit of a marathon. If you are aiming for a front-row seat to the best water views in Oahu, arriving early enough to claim a spot near the railing is worth the effort.

TRY THE MAI TAI FLIGHT! I was afraid that this was just going to be another "hotel restaurant" but was delighted to find it to be an incredible dining experience and a wonderful watering hole! Dean is an excellent bartender and made us feel very welcome. The first night we arrived at the Sheraton, we had a couple of drinks there and he made us want to come back! We loved the "Shrimp Escargot" and the striploin was cooked to perfection! My wife loved the seared ahi tataki. We wound up coming back to RumFire for the excellent food and the beautiful scenery on two more nights of our vacation. I heartily recommend this lovely restaurant and its great food and drinks!

Beautiful setting in fact amazing setting. The views couldn’t be more astonishing. Pretty much a 180° view. The vibe is cool, relaxing. They have live music, which is very calming and settling. The food is great. The drinks are very good. I highly recommend.

Good location, atmosphere, and sevice. Food is average. Poor when price is factored in. Prices increased significantly in what looks like 6 months. Get recent menu before wasting time.

didn’t have any food so can’t say, but it smelled good. Drinks were on point, but the service is what made the difference. Shout out to John Michael, he went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. Helped us with suggestions for spots to check out while we were on the island, really knowledgeable, highly recommend.

Went her for my stepmother's bday (my treat), had seared ahi appetizer, fish tacos, burger and crusted fish, ensuring was great except for the crusted fish which was not worth the $43 price at all as I can make a more tasty fish at home. Bill came to 206 including taxes which is almost 300 cdn so expensive for what it was, but nice atmosphere by the beach although was night time and couldn't see much. Good for special occasions

I've been on this island for 3 short military stops (less than 36 hours) made a visit each time. Mai Tais are perfect for $19, the Strip Steak was $55 and delicious. High quality spot/bar atmosphere for people watching and sunsets.

Came here for dinner overlooking the ocean with the fire pits and live music. 5 stars all around. The place is a such a vibe, it didn not require a reservation. The server was so kind to recommend new dishes for me to try and experience here only in Hawaii. I would go back often if I had the money and luxury to do so. The only thing to nation about this place is that it was difficult to find by walking because it’s inside the Sheraton hotel.

Stayed at the hotel and walked down to the restaurant - very convenient. Great ambiance at night sitting outside. Fire torches and firepits aflame under the starlight skies with cocktails in hand -just beautiful. Service impeccable and tasty food. Live one-man band was nice. Sitting outside during the day gives you an ‘O wow’ view of Diamond Head.

Highly recommend this restaurant! Our server, Tommy, was AMAZING. Truly the nicest person, and his recommendations did not miss. Food was amazing and plated so beautifully. The atmosphere outside was stunning, we got to watch the sunset while eating. The host who seated us was also extremely kind! Certainly come here and enjoy some savory food, delicious Mai tais, and gorgeous sunset!
