Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers (2233 Kalakaua Avenue Level 2)
About
A Waikiki Refueling Stop
Perched above the bustling energy of Kalakaua Avenue, this Raising Cane’s location offers a high-energy escape from the humidity of the Waikiki strip. You climb the stairs to find a space that feels distinctly modern compared to the traditional tourist haunts nearby. The air carries the sharp, savory scent of golden-fried batter and that signature tang of their secret-recipe dipping sauce.
The Menu Philosophy
They keep things refreshingly simple here: chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, and coleslaw. It is a precise operation. The chicken breast is never frozen, marinated for 24 hours, and hand-battered before hitting the fryer. When you pull apart the warm Texas toast—buttered and toasted to a light crunch—it perfectly balances the saltiness of the juicy, tender chicken strips. If you are looking for complex culinary fusion, this isn't it, but if you want consistent, craveable comfort food while taking a break from the beach, it hits the mark.
Local Observations
Expect a lively, youthful atmosphere that hums with the sound of local families and visitors grabbing a quick bite before heading back to the sand. Be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak lunch hours, as this spot is a magnet for those walking through the Waikiki Beach Walk area. The open, airy seating allows you to people-watch while the ceiling fans churn against the Hawaiian heat. It is straightforward, no-fuss dining that gets you back to your island adventures without the wait time of a sit-down restaurant.

Tried for first time and it was good. The sandwich could have a little bit more sauce. Fries were okayish.

Great, plus the workers on Friday night (2/21) were really nice. Friendly, and had a nice smile for every customer.

My first Raising Cane’s experience was when I was with Kuuipo. She was so excited to let me know that there were chicken tenders! Last time, it was their way of saying hello and welcoming me. I thought the food was really tasty at first because she validated the touch from when I looked. Sounds like a great food to order for take out. I’m taking my time thanking her all the way through.

Came here for my first Raising Cane’s experience and was pleased with the food/overall experience. I’d seen influencers getting full drink cup sized portions of dipping sauce, not sure how they managed that? Maybe I had to ask but that didn’t take away from the meal at all. Will definitely be back again!

Love this place one of my favorite restaurants. Unfortunately it's not close to where I live so when I found out that it was within walking distance of where I was staying I absolutely had to get some. Priced a little higher than where it is on the mainland but still the exact same delicious chicken fingers that you're used to. I was able to get right in and out of line none of this 2-hour wait business for all the other tourist trap type restaurants so if you need something fast and delicious head to canes!

It's a really soft chicken tender. The sauce is delicious. The amount of sauce is enough, so you don't need to order more. It's a pity that the tender size is not constant.

This Raising Cane's location on the 2nd floor of the shopping center is a hidden gem! I've never had to wait long, which is a huge plus, especially during busy hours. The food is always fresh and consistent, delivering the quality you expect from Raising Cane's. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or dining in, this spot is a reliable choice for some great chicken fingers.

Raising Cane's is always a great fast food restaurant for fried chicken. Their signature Cane's sauce is like no other, and it goes well with the crinkle cut fries, too. Most combos come with a slice of thick Texas toast as well as coleslaw for the larger combos. Ketchup is not needed! If you like iced tea and lemonade, ask for half tea and half lemonade - very refreshing and something different to try.

Located in the mall in front of the Sheraton Waikiki, Raising Cane’s has been on my list for a while. I love fried chicken and there’s no Cane’s where I live. This particular location was underwhelming. The chicken tasted off. You know when you forget to cook your chicken and when you finally come time to cook and eat it, it has this off aftertaste. It was very faint but I could taste it. The famous sauce was also just alright, on the salty side. There’s plenty of seating at the food court in the mall.
