Quiznos (Honolulu International Airport)
About
Fuel Up Before Your Flight
Navigating the busy terminals at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport can be a marathon. Tucked away near the gates, this Quiznos serves as a reliable pit stop for travelers craving a warm, toasted sub before boarding a flight to the mainland or an inter-island hop. The hallmark of the experience here is the signature oven-toasting process, which transforms a standard sandwich into something with a satisfying crunch and melty, bubbling cheese that simply hits differently than the cold cuts found in airport kiosks.
Toasted Perfection in the Pacific
Whether you have a long layover or a tight connection, the menu focuses on classic, hearty options like the Mesquite Chicken or the classic Italian. You will notice the familiar smell of toasted bread and melted provolone as you approach the counter, a comforting aroma amidst the sterile terminal air. The service is designed for speed, catering to the frantic pace of Honolulu departures, so it is the perfect spot for those who prioritize efficiency over a sit-down meal.
A Quick Note for Travelers
While the seating area mirrors the utilitarian feel of a busy transit hub, it provides a functional space to clear your emails or charge a device before you head to the tarmac. Do keep in mind that since this is situated within the secure side of the airport, the lines can fluctuate wildly depending on incoming and outgoing flight banks. It is a straightforward, no-nonsense choice when you need a hot meal that stays consistent regardless of the time of day.

Staff wasn’t openly hostile, best I can say of this place. I get that airports are expensive, but if you’re going to charge $6 for a drink, at least remember that I’ve ordered one and don’t make me have to stop and remind you that I’ve ordered one, much less act confused as if you weren’t aware people order sodas with sandwiches. The lady was so confused, you’d think I tried to order a side of haggis. Genuinely, my fault for not reading the reviews of this place before going. I see that Quiznos responds to reviews here, but I can tell you that at least as of mid March 2026, they have not gotten it together to deliver service that even remotely matches the $30 price tag on a sandwich, chips, and drink combo. The disparity of value at this location is staggering.

They were very busy and I believe my ticket got lost in the mix of all their orders. They made several orders for customers that came after us which was stressful because we were trying to make our flight. If that was the only thing that happened I would have understood because I can see how that can happen when the are busy. But what was horrible was how the man putting the toppings on the sandwich yelled at me. As they were finally putting together my order their register ran out of change and the man who was going to finish making the sandwiches stopped and went over to the register, put his gloved hands in his pockets digging around for change to give the woman working the register. Then he went back to his station waiting for the second sandwich to come through the toaster, with the same gloves on. I asked him politely if he could change his gloves before finishing up the order and he yelled “don’t tell me how to do my job!” Then after muttering under his breath some other things, he went to the back room and got new gloves and placed them over his old ones. I had many things to say back but didn’t because my son was with me and I didn’t want to hold up the order any further. He finished up my order and I told him to have a good day and left. I could hear the laughter of their team as I walked away with my son. I think the entire team could use lessons in customer service, food hygiene, and common decency.

In a nice quiet area at noon time next to island brews, in between gates G5 & G4 after security at HNL. I got the veggie guacamole 🥑 sub without cheese, so hopefully it's vegan or close to it, toasted. Ordered and paid on the kiosk tap to pay, at 1222pm, they had it ready 6 minutes later! Quick service, nice staff! Deliciousness!
