Queensbreak Restaurant
About
Tropical Flavors Above Waikiki
Perched high above the bustling Waikiki strip, Queensbreak captures the essence of an elevated Hawaiian getaway. The space functions as an expansive open-air deck where the salty trade winds compete with the scent of charred pineapple and searing proteins. It is the kind of place where locals drop in for a midweek sunset cocktail and tourists gather to soak in the panoramic view of the Pacific horizon.
The Island-Inspired Menu
The kitchen leans into modern coastal cuisine. You will find staples like fresh poke bowls and flatbreads that prioritize local island sourcing. If you visit for dinner, the catch of the day is often seasoned with Hawaiian sea salt and citrus, maintaining a lightness that pairs well with the humid coastal air. The drink menu is heavy on rum-based tiki classics, served in glassware that seems designed specifically for Instagram photos against the backdrop of Diamond Head.
Know Before You Go
The atmosphere shifts drastically depending on the time of day; mornings are subdued and breezy, while evenings lean into a lively, high-energy pool deck social scene. Expect the occasional soundtrack of splashing water and the hum of nearby crowds, which adds a distinct urban-beach energy to your meal. Parking in this part of Honolulu can be a complex endeavor, so consider ride-sharing or valet options if you want to avoid circling the blocks. Whether you are refueling after a surf session or looking for a spot to watch the sun dip below the waves, Queensbreak offers a quintessential Waikiki perspective that feels both accessible and distinctly breezy.

We ate at Queensbreak twice during our stay in Waikiki and loved it both times. The service was excellent and the food was seriously delicious. Also, the elevated view of Waikiki is stunning. We especially LOVED the Hula pie which is a gigantic slice of ice cream “pie” with an Oreo cookie crust, mountain of ice cream covered in a crunchy chocolate shell and roasted macadamia nuts. Truly so delicious you will want it twice!

Hands down the best restaurant I've had in Waikiki. Stumbled across this restaurant after everything else was a 45 min wait. Drinks are fantastic, fish tacos best I've ever had, live music, and excellent waitress.

Family friendly, inviting, exceptional service and cuisine. The food is fresh and tasty. Service with a smile and very helpful...you're treated like family. We enjoyed smoothies and nachos before heading over to the buffet area where the food was spectacular and each item noted if it was gluten free, nut free, vegan, dairy free...extremely helpful for those of us who must watch for these items. The Hawaiian BBQ buffet exceeded our expectations! Dining outdoors enjoying the breeze and ocean view as well as live music topped off our experience. Even the grandkiddos enjoyed themselves.

Great view of the ocean. Service is fantastic and prompt. I had the bento box lunch, very impressed. The chicken and beef were cooked to perfection. The dipping sauce was awesome - smoky and a bit spicy and sweet- delicious. For dessert, I went with the chocolate pie, very good.

Came here as the first dining place as newlyweds after a LONG day of travel. It was down a block from our hotel and the menu looked good. My only regret is being aware of the prices before going but it was definitely worth it. My husband and I split an appetizer and the meal which I’m glad we did as the portions were generous. We had a bit of a wait for our food but I can tell you it was fresh. There was live romantic music and I loved that it was rooftop.

Cute little place. Elevated and overlooking the beach across the street. There is an attached pool. I came for a drink and snack. I got a mai tai and the papaya and fruit appetizer both were good and reasonably priced based on the location.

Queensbreak restaurant is located next to the swimming pool in Waikiki Beach Marriott. The open air location has amazing view of Waikiki Beach. We enjoyed view of the sunset from here. You seat yourself anywhere. Service was friendly but a little slow. There was live music, a guy singing- excellent. We had fish and chips and Nachos. Both were good.
