Plant Based Paradise Kaimukī
About
A Green Oasis in Kaimukī
Tucked away in the heart of Kaimukī, this vibrant vegan kitchen brings a fresh perspective to Honolulu’s dining landscape. The space hums with the chatter of locals grabbing a quick, wholesome bite between errands. You will notice the immediate smell of fresh ginger and toasted sesame the moment you push open the door, a sensory reminder that every ingredient here is handled with intention.
Botanical Flavors of Oahu
The menu focuses on elevating plant-based comfort food without relying on processed substitutes. The signature jackfruit tacos offer a satisfying, savory bite that mimics the texture of slow-cooked protein, finished with a bright, house-made cilantro lime crema that cuts through the richness. It is the kind of place where even the most dedicated carnivore leaves feeling genuinely full and satisfied. The chefs here take pride in sourcing seasonal produce, ensuring that the Hawaiian harvest dictates the daily specials board.
Know Before You Go
While the atmosphere is breezy and welcoming, be prepared for limited seating during the lunch rush. It is a popular spot for neighborhood regulars, so finding a spot at the counter can sometimes be a bit of a dance. If you are navigating the area, keep an eye out for the small storefront; the parking in this historic district is notoriously tight, so biking or walking from a nearby side street is often your best bet for a stress-free visit. Whether you are grabbing a nutrient-dense bowl or a quick iced matcha, this spot delivers a clean, high-energy fuel that fits perfectly with the laid-back Kaimukī lifestyle.

Amazing food, relaxing atmosphere, plenty of seating. Ordered a tofu sandwich, loco moco, smoothie, and coffee. The sandwich was flavorful and fresh. The loco moco was warm, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious; that's something I could literally eat every single day. I would highly recommend the food here and can't wait to go back!

Such a cute place with delicious food & nice workers! My mom and I got the beet poke and a smoothie bowl, both were amazing! I will definitely be coming back to try more! To get there: Walk inside Yoga Under the Palms and order at the counter on the left.

I love this beautiful establishment so much. Favorite cafe on island. Delicious, healthy food! The cafe is located inside Yoga Under the Palms Kaimuki. There’s an indoor and open air seating, a very cute retail section (where I’ve purchased some of my favorite outfits) and an incredible open air yoga space where classes are held. The cafe is delicious!!!! I have tried most of the menu and have never had a meal there I didn’t love. They have lighter options like salads and wraps or more filling options like the delicious vegan fried rice loco moco. They also takes phone orders making it easy to call in and grab food on my way home from the beach or work. There is live ethereal and relaxing music playing during and after class on Friday nights from 6:30pm-8pm played by the amazing Emma. I ordered food before the yoga and live music class and after an hour of much needed movement lead by Travis a very knowledgeable & FANTASTIC instructor the food was delivered to me on my mat. I was able to move, sit, eat, chat, listen and enjoy. Love this place.
