Pizza Hut - Honolulu (N Kuakini St)
About
A Reliable Slice in Kuakini
When you find yourself moving through the busy corridors of Honolulu, specifically near the medical hub of Kuakini, the familiar red roof of this Pizza Hut provides a quick, no-nonsense stop for comfort food. It serves as a go-to for locals grabbing a carry-out order after a long shift or families needing a budget-friendly dinner that hits the spot without pretense.
The Signature Experience
The menu remains anchored in the classics that defined the brand, with the Original Pan Pizza taking center stage. You can expect that distinct, buttery, crispy crust edge that crackles when you bite in, paired with the familiar aroma of bubbling mozzarella and spicy pepperoni. It is a nostalgic sensory experience—that specific blend of tomato sauce and oregano that has been a staple for decades.
Local Notes and Nuance
Situated in this active pocket of Oahu, the atmosphere is strictly functional and fast-paced. Don't expect a candlelit dinner; this is a place for efficiency. While the parking lot can get a bit tight during the peak dinner rush as commuters navigate the surrounding urban layout, the turnover is usually quick. Whether you are craving a stuffed crust indulgence or a simple thin-and-crispy pepperoni, the kitchen team here focuses on consistency. It remains a practical, reliable option for anyone living or working in the heart of Honolulu who needs a hot meal on the go.

Waited over an hour for our food when the app says ready. There was about 10 other people waiting for their food to. They seem very short staffed in there.

Not a bad pizza hut. I came here for the buffet. The building itself looked old and dim and the AC kept blowing in my face. The bathrooms were very dirty. The cups smelled weird. The buffet had lots of choices but the pizza was frequently out and it took a while to refill. It was still good.

They call this a buffet ? Lol. More like a soup kitchen. Manager not generous. No salad bar. Food only made for maximum 5 people at a time. Definitely not a place for a business meeting luncheon. If they not willing to serve food, why have a buffet? False advertisement.

Do NOT order from Pizza Hut! Instead, order from Papa John’s or Dominoes or other pizza places. They continually make mistakes (wrong pizza, hours to receive, etc). Then, once in a great while, they offer you a free pizza for their mistake, but with that free pizza to compensate for their error, they insist that you spend $15.00 additionally. What kind of recompense is that? I also was diverted to the Philippines, which could not answer a basic question & did not want to reveal initially that they were in the Philippines. And in another call the woman who stated she was a “Manager” was responding from a call center. So she was a receptionist. Spoke to 3 different people trying to find Supervisor or Owner. One cannot locate any Management personnel to speak with. They were all very rude, incompetent, disrespectful, & uneducated. GO ELSEWHERE!!!

Delivery with raw chicken. Had to drive back to the store with the box before they issued a refund. Staff at front was nice but please be careful ordering from here.

It’s the closest Pizza Hut to me and I have the worst experience every time I order from this location. They never want to fix their errors and I’ve started ordering from the school street one instead. They always nail the orders. At the Kuakini location, I ordered cheese sticks and they didn’t even put enough cheese so the cheese burned and they weren’t those iconic Pizza Hut cheese sticks. Sadly, they wouldn’t replace them.

This location seems old-fashioned and a little dimmed inside. I came for the buffet. $15 a person. Only available from 11am-2pm. Soda included unlimited. Salad is one time only. Pizzas come in different variation. They rotated with a new topping every time a pizza is gone. The meaty tomato sauce is really delicious. It goes well with the pizza as a dipping sauce. Sweet cinnamon bread sticks are so good especially when it's still warm and a little crispy on the outside. You cannot find a better deal than this elsewhere.
