Pitch Sports Bar
About
Catch the Game in the Heart of Honolulu
When the big game is on and you need more than just a TV screen, Pitch Sports Bar provides a high-energy escape from the Kaka'ako crowds. This isn't your typical polished tourist trap; it is a raw, authentic space where the local Honolulu sports community gathers to shout at the monitors. The air usually carries the scent of buffalo wings and cold draft beer, soundtracked by the collective roar of a crowd focused intently on the play-by-play.
The Experience
The interior is designed for function over frills, with strategically placed screens ensuring you never miss a snap or a goal. It is an ideal setting for groups who want to get rowdy without feeling out of place. Whether you are rooting for the local Hawaii Rainbow Warriors or keeping tabs on NFL Sunday Ticket, the energy is consistently high. While the parking in this part of town can be a bit of a headache during peak game hours, the lively, unpretentious camaraderie makes the trek well worth the effort.
Menu & Atmosphere
Expect a menu rooted in classic American pub fare. The wings are a staple, often served with a variety of house-made sauces that pair perfectly with their rotating selection of island-inspired brews and classic imports. The lighting is kept dim to keep the focus squarely on the game, creating a cave-like atmosphere that keeps the intensity up even during daytime matches. It is a no-nonsense environment for those who prioritize the score above all else. If you are looking for a spot in Honolulu that puts the game first, you have found it.

Amazing Omakase experience! John and Nixon were such great hosts. Menu was well-thought-out and all the flavours were just phenomenal! He was very creative with some of the courses and we appreciate him explaining the background of each fish! And the vibe being in a sports bar is definitely unique! I will be coming back here for me next trip to Hawai'i in the near future!

We had so much good food! The cucumber said was great! Loved the ginger chicken. The garlic pork with chimichurry was also a hit! Friendly, efficient, prompt service-shout out Ken! And the pation was so chill and welcoming! A nice little refuge from all the business downstairs.

Have been here several times and thought it was okay. Better than average. Came for the college football national championship. Showed up early, got a bar seat. Enjoyed the game. All was good. Came back for the super bowl and again arrived early to ensure I got a decent bar seat. I was told when I sat down that the entire bar had been reserved prior and the only seats were outside. I was 1 of 3 people in the entire bar at the time. It was raining and 45+mph wind gusts outside. I understand being able to reserve tables- but all of the bar seats as well? I think if you want a bar seat for any event you show up early. Its. Ot a fancy enough bar that I would ever assume you could reserve bar seats. I won’t be coming back to this spot. It’s ok but the service is a bit impersonal and that type of decision making is not what I’m into.

We love this place! Great food, friendly service, and overall good vibes. After enjoying the food, I decided to order bentos for my office -- we were not disappointed and the value and quantity are fantastic. We definitely want to try some of their catering options next. Will be back there again soon!

We watched the Thursday Night Football and had a memorable night. The food was flavorful. The Truffle Gyoza, BBQ Brisket, and Spicy Wings are a must try. The Tuna Truffle Roll, Gingah Spreadman's Negihanmachi, and Scallop Dynamite Roll are my favorite rolls. The atmosphere was enjoyable and exhilarating. The service was fast. Jessica provided detailed recommendations. I would definitely come back again.

If I could give 0 stars, I would! I visited Pitch on the eve of my birthday to celebrate with friends. I had reservations for the inside seating area at 9:15 pm. When we arrived at 9:00 pm to check in, we were told we had to either sit outside or at the sushi bar, despite having booked a table in the main area, where there were three available tables. The manager, Adam, informed us that they had double-booked our reservation and that those tables were reserved for other parties arriving later. When I expressed my preference to sit inside as it was raining, and not at the sushi bar due to its layout, Adam rudely stated that if we didn’t accept these options, he couldn’t do anything else and walked off. As we were discussing our options, another group arrived without a reservation and were seated in the main area where we were told tables were reserved. When we pointed this out, the staff claimed that group had a reservation, but my friend confirmed they did not. Feeling upset and discriminated against, I asked Adam for the corporate number, which he provided rudely. This experience ruined my 23rd birthday celebration. Pitch’s audience appears predominantly Asian and Caucasian, whereas my friends and I are African American. We felt marginalized by being offered only seating outside in the rain or at the back corner of the bar. As an active-duty officer in the U.S. Army stationed on this island, I was looking forward to a special evening with friends. Fortunately, we found a warm welcome at the Great Gatsby afterward. This incident at Pitch was incredibly disheartening and disappointing.

came to watch the World Series and it was packed. They have a huge extensive happy hour menu that ends at 6:30 which is pretty generous. Everything came out timely and tasting great. One of my favorites is the fried scallops. With lemon and the marinara it was awesome.their hand rolls are not bad as well. The garlic shrimp had a sweet taste to it and the poutine fries had nice fried chunks of cheese curd. The oyster shooter was meaty and melt in the mouth. if you come during anytime during a sports game, be prepared for a loud atmosphere as well as 1 bathroom stall.

We were all told to never judge a book by its covers and this place proved that. I was shocked to find an omakase at a sports bar. The quality and service were amazing. Each fish they explained what it was before you ate the bite. They said the menu changes on fish availability from Japan. Highly worth the couple minutes drive away from Waikiki. I hope I can eat at a regular sushi spot from here on out because this may never be topped. Thank you Andy and the rest of the team for making such a delicious experience.

Great sports bar/sushi restaurant in the Kakaako area located on the second floor of Salt Kakaako. This place does get packed and gets loud so be forewarned. Dog friendly also too🤙🤙My go to bar if im in the area since they have lots of screens to watch multiple games. Daily Happy Hour too from 230pm to 630 pm, with discounted $3 and $5 Temaki Hand Rolls and Food Items that are half price. Sushi and food here is top notch, the sushi chef is legit, from the closed Pearl Kai Izakaya Kei a couple of years ago. Validated parking available, though if youre like me and stay past 3-4 hours, it might be cheaper to Uber/Lyft since the parking gets pricey😄 Bartenders friendly and efficient, the bar has a good variety to choose from. Drink bucket specials are also great when in a big group. Order some handrolls and The Pastele Stew Tater Tots.... U wont be disappointed🤙🤙 5 stars.

It was my first time there, so didn't know what was good to eat. We ate the onion rings, deep-fried oysters, tofu salad, and steak. They were all so delicious! I really loved the onion rings! There was only 1 waiter/bartender working and 1 cook in the back, so service was a little slow, but once we got our food and drinks, we enjoyed ourselves!
