Authentic Broth Bowls in Honolulu

Walking into Pho One, you are immediately greeted by the rhythmic sound of bubbling stock pots and the aromatic steam of star anise and cinnamon filling the air. Located in the vibrant landscape of Kaka'ako, this spot has become a local staple for those seeking a no-nonsense, deeply flavorful bowl of pho in Honolulu.

The Craft Behind the Bowl

The kitchen here prioritizes a clear, robust bone broth that simmers for hours, resulting in a clean flavor profile that pairs perfectly with their generous portions of fresh basil, lime, and sliced jalapeños. While the menu offers a variety of Vietnamese classics, the signature rare beef pho remains the go-to order, consistently drawing in crowds during the lunch rush. The textures are spot on—the noodles hold their integrity, and the thinly sliced beef arrives tender and ready to soak up the spiced broth.

A Local Corner for Quick Bites

The interior is utilitarian and functional, designed for efficiency rather than lingering, making it an ideal choice for a quick solo lunch or a casual meal with coworkers. Be prepared for a bit of a challenge if you are driving, as parking in this bustling section of the city can be tight, especially during midday hours. If you find yourself craving a reliable, hot meal while exploring the murals and breweries nearby, the steady steam of a bowl at Pho One offers a perfect, grounded reprieve from the island heat.

Back again. Craving for Vietnamese food. I got the special Crab noodle soup. Hubby got the Wonton noodle soup and coffee. It was good and I had to ask for the fermented shrimp paste which made it taste even better. Staff were friendly. We went a little before dinner time trying to beat the crowd. It was getting busy as we were leaving. Plenty of seats and tables.

We ended up showing up twice during our 5-night stay, which already tells how good this place was. Enjoyed the rice noodle with beef. I will definitely come back in my next trip! We appreciate decent service🙏🏻

Fantastic broth. Lots of garnish. They don't ration bean sprouts and basil like so many other pho places. At first the prices seemed very high but the bowl is huge. Large portions. 5 stars.

Aloha all, this is my 3rd favorite PHo place on Oahu. It's got great location and free parking in building. They have great soup base and delicious spring rolls. The place is a great size so usually always has seats. They offer small, large and extra large pho bowls.

We've been coming here for the past few months. We love it here. Location is just a block away from work. The people here are nice & friendly. The food...awesome. I never had anything here that I didn't like. Their pho is so flavorful, the bun bo hue was perfect, the spring rolls tasty & their vermicelli combos are really good as well.

After a fun hike, eating pho feels like a warm hug. I enjoy this restaurant specifically because the service is great and the flavor is consistent. Update: As two adventurous foodies, lol, we tried jellyfish salad for the first time. The texture was exactly what I expected—soft with a little crunch. It was so refreshing, and the flavors were delicious. I've officially found my new favorite salad dish! Good company and good food, what more could I ask for? Happy Labor Day!

Overall one of the best pho spots on this side of town. Might be a little pricier than most places but this is normal prices nowadays. Very tasty and hot broth. I usually get the combination with meat outside and cooked bean sprouts. Fresh veggies and jalepenos is always adds to it depending on your mood. Bahn mi is pretty good, bbq pork is my favorite. Just wished they had the mayo like they got in vegas. Still good, especially for take out. Chicken feet salad is the best. Don't know of any other restaurant that makes this. They somehow take the bones out for you. Very attentive and friendly staff. Lots of free parking too

Best Pho I've ever had. Parking is in the front or rear. Open from 9am, right behind Ala Moana shopping center. Clean bathroom's! Great service. Friendly for the whole family.
