Papa Johns Pizza (2025 Kalakaua Ave)

Manager was making rude comments about customers. Leadership needs to be changed up here. I sat there for 20 minutes waiting for a pizza that was supposed to already be done.

Ordered a pizza and the online status system indicated our pizza was in preparation. After 1 hr and 20 min with no change, I called and they said all orders were canceled for the night.

This might actually be the worst Papa John’s… do not recommend ordering here. It’s inside a gas station as well, which should have been enough of a warning.

Ordered Vegetarian pizza which the guy told us has 7 veggies! Took pizza home, and it did not have a single veggie! A bit of tomato sauce and cheese only. I think they gave me a Magarita pizza my son said. Very disappointed as paid $36 for a 2 person pizza. No sesting or washrooms at store+ gas station. No photos aa nothing worth showing.

I ordered a cheese pizza to play it safe and it still was garbage, our cashier got our orders mixed up and the food was terrible. The sauce tasted bad the cheese was also terrible and the pizza didn’t even come cut up. 0/10 wouldn’t eat here again

This place is totally shady. After trying to use their app I gave up when I could only pay online so I called in my order. They told me the price for a sausage/pepperoni would be $35.00. The online deal was $17.99. Once confronted they changed the price. It gets better...... When I went in to pick up there was another guy in front of me asking how much a pizza would be. The staff said they usually start at $30.00. He asked two more times about a cheese pizza and they kept telling him they'd have to look it up. Really? They knew they have a 1-topping pizza for $12.99. I simply told the guy they tried to over charge me as well when they knew they had a special. DON'T order from here. Btw.... The pizza sucked after all that!!

Thank you Laina so much for our delicious Pizzas! Such tasty Pizzas on a fresh dough base, we thoroughly enjoyed them. Yum! When I walked in, Laina was so busy, and so polite. Laina gives such friendly and professional service, Papa John himself should be proud. Wherever you are in Honolulu, drive to see Laina for your pizza, she is amazing and her Pizzas are World Class. Highly recommended! Thank you again.

It's in a gas station, and it took a little longer to get a pizza, but it was very good pizza and well worth the wait. Better pizza than we get at home. We stayed at The Ambassador, now a Hilton, nearly across the street, and this place kept us full after a long day exploring the island. We placed 2 online orders during the week we were there, and both times it was a little longer wait for takeout than the App said, but was worth it to get fresh hot pizza in our room. Very much recommended.

I don't ever buy pizza from a chain pizza shop. I'd rather just save money and get a frozen pizza since Hawaii doesn't have any real good mom and pop pizzerias. Though on 6/14/23 pm. we decided to order pizza because we were extremely hungry, exhausted, and didn't have anything at home to make. We weren't disappointed. In fact, I was extremely impressed with how well our online order was made. Whoever was working that night followed the directions perfectly and sent us some good pizza. I still don't like the quality of chain pizza ingredients, dough, or sauces, but whoever made our order did the best they could with what they had. The pizza was thin and crispy. Cooked well, and toppings were perfectly balanced.

First you say you didn’t get our order when we call after not receiving an email confirmation - zero care for customer service. Then it shows up uncut to our hotel. Weird is all I can say for the Hawaiian experience. 2025 Kalākaua Ave location if you want to send some trainers. I would caution against placing an online order! They will just tell you it’s normal for them to not get it, and that someone will call you about it, but they won’t. It may show up, and it may show up uncut. If that’s the way you like it.
