Orchids

We came to Orchids to celebrate 8 months of marriage and ended up having one of those evenings you wish you could replay. Our table overlooked the ocean and sunset, and we even had a perfect view of the hula show. My husband had the carpaccio, I had the tortellini with asparagus and fresh truffle, and both were absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional. Warm, attentive, and effortless. As a sweet surprise, the chef sent over a complimentary brownie dessert, which made our celebration feel even more special. And then there was the coconut cake. Let’s just say my husband and I are still talking about it. As a Local Guide, I visit many restaurants, but Orchids is one of those places that creates a memory, not just a meal. We’ll definitely be back. 🌺🤙

Very good restaurant if you’re looking for something a little more upscale. The views are beautiful, especially if you sit outside. We came with a baby and actually loved how much space there was on the grass for her to run around comfortably. The appetizers were great and overall the atmosphere was really nice. The only thing I probably wouldn’t order again was the veal Milanese, it just wasn’t our favorite dish. Other than that, definitely a spot worth visiting!

We visited yesterday for breakfast as a party of five (I made a reservation the day before). Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated at a table with a beautiful ocean view. Our server - JET - was amazing. He was fun, kind, attentive, and fabulous in the best way. I ordered the mochi waffle recommended by Jet. The texture and flavor were so perfect. My SIL ordered the blueberry pancakes which were fluffy and tasty. Others in our party ordered egg dishes (sorry no photos). I cannot wait to go back to try Jet’s other recommendations- loco moco and corned beef hash 😋 Thank you to the Halekulani for having such amazing staff and food.

Sunday brunch was phenomenal! From the crab legs to the dill cured salmon to the prime rib to the sashimi to desert bar to the ice cream... It was too much! It is pricey but you won't regret it! Book early because it books weeks in advance. Valet is free after validating with bunch. Definitely going to make this a priority whenever I'm in Waikiki.

Remarkable lunch experience. Definitely our favorite dining experience during our time thus far in Waikiki. Our server, Richard, was exceptional. Food, cocktails and wine were very fresh, creative and plating was lovely. Notables were Mahi Mahi, Seafood Lasagnette, Ahi Crudo and Coconut Cake. And perhaps our favorite part, was the spectacular ocean front terrace.

We had dinner here in 2024 when we first visited Hawaii. We made a reservation close to the sunset and the view and the foods were so delicious if you are looking for a fine dining restaurant. We wanted to visit it again this time but there were no available reservations and it was a bit pitty. I recommend to make reservations earlier for the hot seasons. Hope you enjoy!

Elegant fine dining. Made a last minute reservation in person and Jaylissa was an awesome hostess. She found me a great table at the seafront with a view. Chris was an excellent waiter and an old hand at the business. Experienced and knowledgeable. I had the lobster bisque to start followed by the grilled octopus and the signature coconut cake for dessert. The cortetto was a delicious finish. Everything was delicious and the whole experience was memorable.

Came back to Orchids for the second time after our first visit last year, and it was just as wonderful. The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was excellent, and the service was attentive and gracious. Everything came together to make our honeymoon dinner truly special. We also enjoyed great champagne and red wine, which perfectly complemented the evening. A memorable experience we will definitely cherish.

I went there for my birthday 🎂 The food was super fresh, though I have to say 🤔 the taste was just okay, nothing mind-blowing. What really made the visit special was how kind the staff were ☺️ They helped me take a bunch of sunset photos. And the birthday cake at the end? Definitely hit the spot 😋 If you want somewhere chill with good vibes and friendly people, this is a solid pick :)

We've had dinner at Orchids many times, but haven't been back to Hawaii in three years. We had their famous Sunday buffet brunch and dinner on our last night and it was absolutely superb...just as we had remembered! Their seafood is always consistently fresh and prepared masterfully! Highly, highly recommended. Make reservations and ask for ocean-side seating. The amazing food, ambience, gentle tropical breeze, and stunning sunset will make for a truly memorable evening!
