On On Chinese Restaurant

Absolutely amazing food! I’m convinced that a lot of these other reviews are from people who want a hand-holding experience while dining. This isn’t that. It’s a real and authentic food experience. Anyone who has lived in Asia will feel right at home.

Today I have tried the bittermelon plate and it was great. A healthy food at a chinese restaurant. The workers had a strong accent as the english was a second language. Nevertheless, once I got to talking with them a little I have found the workers to be very helpful and friendly.

Located on Kapahulu Avenue visible from the street between Safeway & Leonard's Bakery on the East side of the street. My mom likes it here I prefer another restaurant, however there Cake Noodles is very good! Little more on pricey side. The Aunty on the phone has bit CHALLANGE in understanding or hearing so if you make a phone order repeat and confirm prior to hanging up. In the pics is Chicken Mushroom over Cake Noodles & Kau Yuk!

I might be generous rating a three for this restaurant. From the second I stepped through the door, I felt like I was a problem more than a patron. The food was okay but a very small portion. The way it was spiced was very odd too like it was almost buttery and not at all what I ordered. Do not plan on returning.

We went here to try this restaurant. We were only the ones inside. We asked for a menu and the waitress seems unpleasant when we got inside. They talked in I think in a cantonese language, they seem to talked about us because they are talking while looking at us. We then said our orders. The waitress said our orders to the other guy which were 3 combo meals and then shake his head. then suddenly the waitress said that they don’t cater dine in which leads us to go out of the restaurant. I believe they judged us based on our appearance, we looked like tourist with same color of clothing or they were racist. I recommend you guys to not try this restaurant.

After leaving the a private near the area, I decided to stop at Leonard’s for donuts and parked near the On On restaurant. After donuts, I stopped to get fried rice and egg rolls. Wow, they are delicious 😋. I plan to return.

This is definitely one of our new favorite restaurants. Very simple and amazing Chinese food. We had a large variety to try. We couldn't stop eating. Everything was so amazing. The owners are super kind. They kept checking on us and making sure we were doing great. The food had amazing flavor, and perfect size servings. We could not eat everything. Check them out.
