Okonomiyaki Chibo Restaurant

Great place for date nights. All the fun and excitement of a teppanyaki grill restaurant with a smaller and more intimate feel. The bar is also good for conversations over sake. Plenty of dessert shops and bars are in the area if the evening is going well.

The okonomiyaki was delicious and the drinks were nice. The restaurant has good service and I enjoyed their big bathrooms. I just didn't like the teriyaki chicken because it was gamey and chewy. They was the only disappointment in addition to everything being very overpriced. I was craving vegetables and this tiny plate of veggies was 20 dollars.

Worth the visit! The fruit punch was delicious and we loved the crispy pork gyoza. The tonpeiyaki (pork omelette) was also awesome. It was also entertaining to watch the chef cook it in front of us and have him immediately serve our food hot. Because we were not starving we only ordered one entree, the Yakisoba CHIBO. It was enough to share between two and it was good. Would definitely return if we had time.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Chef was amazing, both in cooking and in educating us on each dish. All food was incredible, we had garlic fried rice, garlic shrimp, okonomiyaki, crispy gyoza. Highly recommend all of these dishes! Atmosphere was chill and welcoming, even tho small. Parked across street and BOH garage. We will be back for sure. Mahalos for the great experience!

We made a reservation online, it was so easy to make and modify. We showed up about 15 minutes early and were immediately seated. The mixed drinks were great and not too sweet! I hope the pictures of the food speak for themselves. but just in case they don’t… everything was so delicious and the portions were pretty big as well! Will definitely visit next time I am in the area. We had the following: - garlic shrimp, fried rice, and salad - garlic chicken, fried rice, and salad - green tea ice cream - drinks: margarita, Chibo’s tropical punch, and a Scorpion - I was also pleasantly surprised by 2 complimentary green teas Our total was $120. If would have easily been < $100 if we didn’t get mixed drinks or ice cream, but I’m so glad we did! Don’t miss out if you are in the area.

Attentive staff, prompt service, good okonomiyaki. Went during dinner time on a Friday evening but we were seated promptly. Staff were quick to take our orders. Atmosphere of the place is nothing too welcoming but not too bad either. Cold pitcher of Sapporo paired perfectly with the okonomiyaki.

Garlic shrimp had good flavor and taste. The Okonomiyaki was fine - normal level among what I have had before. The special pineapple and lychee juice was kind of sweet. Needs reservation for dine-in. The counter seats were specially served with the chef cooking right in front of you, but those seats were hard to get reservations.

This place has excellent food. A bit pricier and definitely more authentic so don't expect American sized portions. I ordered the teriyaki chicken with the set/fried rice and partner ordered the octopus with the set as well. Chicken was so savory - could have eaten just that the whole time. 😋🍗

Very good Japanese Teppanyaki place. If seated inside, make sure to get seats by the chefs tables where all meat, fish, veggies and omelettes are cooked to order. Lots of fresh seafood as well as really nice pieces of meat. Slightly over cooked seafood when it comes to the Octopus and Scallop (to our taste), the rest really nicely done. Had a lovely experience, the staff speaking both English and Japanese. Good Sake selection, tasting of 3 for 15 USD. Also very nice selection of Japanese Whisky.
