O Bar
About
A Classic Waikiki Dive Experience
Tucked away from the polished resort corridors, O Bar offers a raw, unvarnished look at the Honolulu nightlife scene. This is a true neighborhood haunt where the focus shifts from craft cocktails to cold brews and authentic conversation. If you are looking for a place that eschews pretension in favor of a genuine, salt-of-the-earth atmosphere, this is your spot.
Sights, Sounds, and The Spirit of the Place
Step inside and you will immediately notice the dim, relaxed lighting that makes the space feel like a well-kept secret. The soundscape is dominated by a mix of classic jukebox hits and the hum of locals catching up after a long day. It is the kind of bar where the decor is sparse, letting the camaraderie among regulars take center stage. You might find the seating arrangements a bit tight, but that is part of the charm—it is easy to strike up a conversation with someone new.
Perfect for the Night Owl
O Bar is best suited for those who appreciate a no-frills environment. It is not the place for white-tablecloth service or elaborate tasting menus; it is the place for those who want to kick back in a casual setting after exploring the nearby Waikiki coastline. While it can get loud during the peak hours of the evening, that energy is exactly what makes it a staple for anyone wanting to experience Honolulu like a resident rather than a tourist. Whether you are grabbing a quick drink before heading to the beach or settling in for a late-night session, the unpretentious vibe keeps the doors swinging.

Went there for drinks, the rum and pineapples was so good. But the coffee shop in the morning there is too bitter.

Happy hour weekends is just $1.50 oysters and $10 wine/champagne. Nothing else. Nice aquarium.

Great service. GREAT view of local reef fish and very chill and spacious! Love the live music at nights. Shane Kainoa is the best, he plays on Sunday nights 6:30-9:30! Can just sit here and chill. Not a huge fan of the ceviche; it’s not a typical ceviche.
