Noi Thai Cuisine
About
A Taste of Royal Thai Heritage in Waikiki
Stepping into Noi Thai Cuisine feels less like a typical dinner out and more like an invitation into a sophisticated Bangkok parlor. Located in the heart of Honolulu’s vibrant Waikiki district, the space balances modern architectural lines with traditional gold-leaf accents, creating an environment that feels both upscale and deeply rooted in Thai culture.
The Culinary Craft
The kitchen prides itself on authentic recipes, often drawing from royal culinary traditions. You will notice the immediate fragrance of fresh lemongrass and kaffir lime leaf the moment the plates arrive. The signature Green Curry, featuring a precise balance of house-made paste and coconut milk, is a menu staple for a reason. For those who enjoy a bit of heat, the Crispy Duck served with a tamarind reduction showcases the chef's commitment to layering sweet and savory notes without masking the texture of the protein.
The Atmosphere
The dining room hums with energy, making it an excellent choice for celebratory dinners or an elevated night out in the city. The acoustics can get quite lively during the peak Friday night rush, so it is an ideal spot if you prefer a high-energy backdrop over a quiet, hushed conversation. While the valet service at the nearby Royal Hawaiian Center simplifies the logistics of parking in such a dense tourist corridor, expect a brief wait during high-traffic hours.
Whether you are a visitor exploring the Waikiki food scene or a resident craving authentic, high-quality Thai flavors, the attention to plating and the polished service staff ensure that the experience remains consistent. It serves as a standout destination for anyone seeking a sophisticated take on Southeast Asian cuisine within the Honolulu urban landscape.

We have dined at this establishment but years ago. We previously have eaten in the main dining room. It is now sectioned off in different areas. I just looked today and it is now closed until June 5. Maybe they are doing renovations. We came for Mother's Day. I was a little nervous because it's been years since we have eaten here and it appeared to look like a lot of tourists eating here. I'm Thai and I was wondering if I was going to be disappointed. I remember the food being OK so I kept an open mind. I decided to order something I normally would not which is the clay pot crab with glass noodles. it was OK. The crab didn't have a huge prominent taste and glass noodles are just meh to me. We also ordered the crab fried rice which was exceptional. I would definitely order that again. There was so much flavor in the rice. I also ordered a yum salad with tofu. That was also good. I loved the chili lime dressing and the added cilantro made it taste even more fresh. The lettuce leaves were huge though. I'm not sure why they were the size of a hamburger patty. It made for eating the salad challenging and messy. My kid had the salmon curry. She loved it. She doesn't handle spice so she asked for a level 2. Level two was spicy for her but she was able to eat it. Being Thai I did not feel it was spicy at all. But it did have a little bit of heat. The Mr ordered the crispy garlic chicken. It was a huge plate of it. He said it was good. He also ordered beef masuman. I will say that the portion seemed tiny. He said it was also good. I actually was pleasantly surprised this time around as I remember coming years ago and it was just OK. About the music. I did read lots of comments about their music Choice. It's not classical but jazz. To my astonishment it was extremely loud. The music Choice was not the issue but the loudness of it. I'm not sure if they tried to make it loud to sound like live music or not. We couldn't even talk to each other because we would've ended up shouting. That's really our only complaint.

The lamb massaman curry was delicious and flavor ful. The lamb was perfect cooked. The cocktail were delicious as well The ambience was good. The server was courteous and knowledgeable. Overall, definitely a great visit. Would love to visit again.

Great veg friendly Thai restaurant in Oahu. It’s upscale, great for dining with friends and family and the food is really good. They have a vegetarian menu. But the best part was, our waiter Sunny just knew all the components of being a vegetarian (no fish sauces, no eggs) and even got us somethings that were not on the veg menu. She’s a gem. The service was great. Many waitresses checked in on us and they were very courteous. As for the food, the yellow curry and spring roll were exceptional. If highly recommend the spring roll. Veg friendly Thai restaurant rice and pad khi mao were decent. Nothing to complain but I’ve had better. I’d give it 4.5/5 on food. 5 on all else. Definitely recommend Noi Thai if you’re a vegetarian in Oahu

The restaurant has good vibe and food is generally good. Limited vegetarian options though. Ordered couple of items and they were good. I wont say over the top but it was a good find amidst a lack of overall good vegetarian/vegan food in Weikiki. The staff didn’t seem too friendly for what they call it as an upscale restaurant. No smile or friendliness. Felt like we were in a fast food restaurant.

My wife and I enjoyed dinner at Noi Thai Cuisine. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service attentive, and the food delivered. The fresh shrimp rolls were light and refreshing, the tom yum was nicely balanced, and the clay pot crab with glass noodles was the clear standout—rich and comforting. The spicy Thai basil stir-fry was fragrant with just the right amount of heat. We paired the meal with Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio and a Singha, both of which complemented the food well. A solid choice for quality Thai food and good service.
