Musubi Cafe Iyasume - Kahala

You gotta love the musubi! I love that Kahala Mall has one of these gems as I don't get out much and did not know they expanded all the way out here! My experience with Musubi Cafe Iyasume has been strictly in Waikiki, where I could grab a quick bite or snack while on work conferences in tourist-town. I rated them a 5-star because I love the fact that this place is a kind of place I will actively seek for a quick, comfort-food bite to go. While it's not 5-star food, it's what I like. Fast and yummy! The musubi I purchased was still warm! I also liked the fact that the had Japanese flan, or 'purin', which is something nostalgic to me as I grew up with this treat, and it was nice to know I could grab a 'purin' (pudding) along with my musubi as a yummy fast treat! Please support this local company, as I'm sure they probably have to sell close to 500,000 musubi a month just to make rent at Kahala Mall!! PS. One spam musubi, one Spicy Mayo Tuna musubi and two purin came out to about $9.00 and some change, without tip.

Cute Japanese cafe with copious selection of ready-made grab-and-go treats — whether for a snack or full lunch when shopping at the Kahala Mall. Quintessentially Hawaiian Spam Musubi, individually wrapped in 5 variations — perfect when looking to satiate a fix. Black Pepper Spam Musubi, yum. With Egg; Avocado, Egg; Teriyaki; or Plain — also tempting options.

Easy parking outside, you'll see Whole Foods and right when you enter the mall it'll be on your right side. 7 Days OPEN from 8:00am-6:00pm Ambience is pretty busy with all the different types of food to select from! Tons of SPAM combos and Riceball selections that DO NOT always have meat in them. I only wish they filled up the musubi's with a little more protein. Overall, such an easy place to grab and go where you're headed too. It makes sense why they have 6 different locations
