Morning Rituals Near the Pacific

When you find yourself waking up to the salt air in the heart of Waikiki, Munch 'n Brunch offers a grounded, no-frills start to your Honolulu morning. This is the kind of place where locals grab a quick bite before heading to the surf, characterized by its straightforward menu and proximity to the main beach strip. The interior is bright, open, and keeps things functional, prioritizing efficient service over elaborate decor.

The Breakfast Plate Philosophy

The menu focuses on staple Hawaiian-style comfort food. You will find hearty plates of loco moco that prioritize generous portions over pretense. The patties are seared to order, carrying that signature char that pairs perfectly with a scoop of white rice and rich brown gravy. Their coffee selection is straightforward and bold, essential for shaking off that tropical humidity. If you stop by during peak weekend hours, expect a bit of a buzz; the acoustics can get quite lively, and you might find yourself sharing a table or waiting a moment for a seat to clear as the morning crowd cycles through.

Why Visit This Honolulu Corner

Munch 'n Brunch is ideal for those who prefer their breakfast without the white-tablecloth experience. It captures the unpolished, authentic rhythm of a Waikiki neighborhood eatery. Because space is limited, the environment feels intimate and sometimes cramped, but that is part of the charm of dining in a high-density tourist hub. Whether you are fueling up for a long hike at Diamond Head or just looking for an affordable, filling start to your island day, this spot provides a consistent experience that fits right into the local landscape.

Easily the best breakfast we’ve had all week on the island! We tried The Hangover burrito and it was massive and flavorful exactly what we needed. For drinks, The Jetlag and the Dirty Horchata absolutely blew our minds. If you’re in Waikiki, this food truck is a must-visit. We will absolutely be back!

LOVED this food truck and meeting Simone! We heard the breakfast burrito was the bomb, and it did not disappoint. Great iced coffee as well. They also said a new physical restaurant was opening down the street! Can’t war! VictorB

Was in Hawaii heading to a diff place for breakfast, and passed this place on the way. Well ended up here b/c the first place was packed, but I am so glad we came here. The greetings from the staff were very warm and inviting. The place is casual (as most places in Hawai'i and not very big. After we ordered it becam very busy, so we got there just in time. This place was fairly new and it is only open til like 3p. They serve breakfast/ brunch food. I had a the avacado toast with egg and I asked for the egg to be overmedium and they accomadated that request, b/c it usually comes scrambled. And my coworker had the big b'fast sandwhich, which came with spam and egg. She said it was really good. And we both had a passion fruit lemonade which was so refreshin and good and not overly sweet. So if you find yourself near here, I definitely recommend you stop by it is worth it and resonably priced. The food was really good. I would definitely eat here again whenever I am back in O'ahu

Absolutely loved this place! There are a lot of vendors around here, but I came specifically for this one and it did not disappoint. The hangover burrito was so good, I’d 100% get it again. The salsa could have been a bit better, but honestly it wasn’t even needed because the guacamole and onions brought so much flavor on their own. Everything tasted amazing. Super cute location too! Parking can be a little tricky unless your hotel is nearby, but it’s definitely worth it. Highly recommend everyone give it a try!

Bunch of food truck in one area. Variety of food choices. Ordered The Hangover breakfast burrito and Beef Brisket & Kimchi. Not the best but both were ok. Not sure about kimchi though. Not sure you can call it kimchi, more like coleslaw with kimchi flavor.

Mannnnn, maybe I only think this cause I live in one of the worst places in the world for breakfast burritos (Anchorage Alaska) but this is a fantastic breakfast burrito. I’ve had it twice on my vacation here so far. Used to live in LA and this would easily been in my rotation if it was in my neighborhood. Really well balanced flavor and texture wise. I think the red onions in it are perfect. Worth the $20 I paid for it. Big recommend. It was in a food truck park - I’m sure the vibes are their brick and mortar spot are better.

Got the hangover burrito! I really liked the pickled onions in it. It was pretty good but nothing to rave about. It was defiantly splittable for breakfast if you’re looking to save this is a good option. I loved the Nutella cold brew, the flavor was amazing. It was perfectly sweet while maintaining a good coffee flavor. People who like black coffee and people who like sweet coffee would both appreciate this and it’s worth going out of your way for. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome! It took a little while to get our drink so I wouldn’t go if you’re in a rush! Overall would recommend!
