About
Island Soul on a Plate
Tucked away in the vibrant streets of Honolulu, Mikey's Favorites Unlimited serves as a sanctuary for those craving authentic local comfort food. The moment you step inside, you are greeted by the intoxicating aroma of sizzling garlic and slow-roasted meats, a scent that defines the casual, no-frills kitchen culture found throughout Oahu.
The Signature Experience
This spot is legendary for its oversized plates that lean heavily into island traditions. Most regulars head straight for their signature Loco Moco—a heap of fluffy white rice crowned with a savory, hand-pressed patty and draped in a rich, dark gravy that hits every salty note you’re looking for. The atmosphere is loud, bustling, and unapologetically casual, making it the perfect pit stop for surfers coming off the beach or families seeking a hearty meal that doesn’t break the bank.
A Local Quirk
Keep in mind that the space is compact, and during the lunch hour rush, finding a seat can feel like a game of musical chairs. Don’t be surprised if you end up sharing a communal table with a stranger; in this corner of the city, that is just part of the charm. Service is fast and functional, mirroring the straightforward nature of the menu. If you are hunting for a polished, quiet dining room, this isn't it, but for those who value authentic flavor profiles over white-tablecloth service, it remains a standout fixture in the Honolulu food scene.

I’ve been eating their golden flakes cookies for 38 years…purchased in the past from Hungry Lion. Just bought some last week and brought back so many memories. They are the best cookies on the island without a doubt. I hope they are around for another 38+ years.

Mikey’s is such a cool, unassuming cookie spot. Tucked way into the warehouses. We rang the doorbell and a lady opened the door for us and brought us into the next small room which was just shelves of cookies. Very cool spot. We got the Kinda Blu cookies and the Cornflake cookies. Both were very good, but Kinda Blu (shortbread with blueberry bits in it) was my favorite.

Small retail section of the cookie factory within warehouse in industrial area. The candy bead cookies are so good and at a very good price, fresh and crunchy. Good variety of cookies and okoshi (sweetened puff rice cakes) with different topics such as furikake. Well worth making an effort to find. Ring the bell and be patient. Someone will be out. Also, can order small packs for party favors.
