Middle Eats
About
A Mediterranean Escape in the Heart of Honolulu
Stepping into Middle Eats, the first thing that hits you is the aromatic punch of cumin, turmeric, and freshly charred pita. Tucked away from the bustling Honolulu tourist corridors, this spot captures the essence of a traditional Levantine kitchen. You won’t find anything pretentious here; it’s all about the food, prepared with a focus on bold spices and high-quality proteins.
The Kitchen Philosophy
Chef-driven and focused on consistency, the menu highlights staples like herb-infused lamb kebabs and velvety, house-made hummus that arrives at your table with a generous glug of premium olive oil. The falafel is a must—expect a satisfying, audible crunch that gives way to a vibrant, herb-packed emerald interior. It is the kind of lunch spot where the napkins are plentiful and the portions are meant to leave you satisfied for the rest of the day.
The Atmosphere and Local Vibe
The space is bright and functional, prioritizing quick service for the local office crowd and hungry residents of the downtown Honolulu area. It can get a bit loud during the midday rush, and finding a parking spot in this pocket of the city requires a bit of patience, but the trade-off is well worth it for the authenticity on the plate. Whether you are grabbing a quick wrap on your way to the waterfront or settling in for a shared platter with friends, the casual, unhurried energy makes it a reliable fixture for those craving genuine Mediterranean soul food.

FOOD WAS GOOD. DOWNFALL: Well Over 30min wait :—/ I was tight for time & wouldn’t have ordered of if I knew in advance. Since you have to order at kiosk, you should be able to put in your cell phone number so you can get an alert when your order is ready for pick up….That may help so u can do other things or even relax and enjoy a beer at the places bar! P ark Bar Oahu Happy Hour 11am-6pm.

We ordered the chicken kebab wrap, koshary, and fries. horrible food. I don't understand how this place got 4.6 rating. we could not even finish the meal. The worst of all was the fries. those were burned, oily and had a bitter taste. I can't even imagine how possible one would mess up making fries. It was the very first time ever my kid to say no to fries!!

Update: After posting this review, the owner repeatedly called and texted me instead of responding publicly here. I explained my experience once and asked him to stop contacting me. The continued contact made me uncomfortable I ordered four different items and only received one fork. The kofta was absolutely disgusting. As someone who is Middle Eastern, I was honestly embarrassed by the quality. The chicken wrap was a complete mess, filled with chicken skin and very poorly prepared. Now it makes sense why they only offer pickup or delivery. I’m 100% convinced the reviews are fake. This was the worst food I’ve ever had.
