A Slice of the Islands in Waikiki

Located right in the heart of the energetic Waikiki district, Maui Brewing Company serves as a high-energy hub for those looking to swap beach sand for a cold glass of local ale. The space feels expansive and open, characterized by its industrial-chic rafters and the constant hum of travelers and locals sharing stories over pints of Big Swell IPA or Coconut Hiwa Porter.

The Flavor of Hawaii

This isn't just another pub; it’s a commitment to the craft. The kitchen leans into island-inspired comfort food, with their signature pineapple-marinated steak and crispy fish tacos acting as the main attraction for those needing a hearty fuel-up after a day in the Pacific sun. The menu is designed for sharing, making it an ideal spot for groups roaming the streets of Honolulu who can’t decide between a gourmet burger or something lighter featuring fresh, locally-sourced produce.

The Pulse of Waikiki

There is an undeniable magnetism here, often felt through the rhythmic clinking of glasses and the lively banter at the long communal tables. If you time your visit during the sunset hours, you will find the place at its peak—buzzing with activity and a lively, sometimes boisterous, soundtrack. Just a heads up for those driving: finding a spot in this part of Honolulu can be a bit of a challenge, so consider utilizing local ride-shares or taking a breezy walk along the coastline to reach the front door. Whether you are a craft beer enthusiast hunting for a small-batch release or just someone looking for an authentic taste of Hawaii’s brewing culture, this venue captures the laid-back, yet vibrant, spirit of the islands.

Good selection of beers with a variety for everyone. My favorite was the Red Ale. We also got the BBQ pork Sando, excellent, the sauce and pork were both great. The Ribs just fell off the bone and had a nice crusted glaze on them. The fish tacos were also excellent. Definitely a fun place to eat but a little loud so don't go hear for a quiet dinner.

If your wallet could talk before you walk into Maui Brewing Co. Waikiki, it would probably ask for a moment of silence. This place is big. You take an elevator up to the main area which already makes it feel like an event before you even sit down. Once you are up there the space opens up with plenty of room, good energy, and a lively atmosphere. Prices are definitely in tourist mode. Drinks are around $9 and plates run about $25 to $30, so it adds up quickly. That said, the experience is smooth. The staff are friendly, service is fast, and everything moves efficiently even when it is busy. Overall Maui Brewing Co. in Waikiki is a fun stop with a large space, good service, and solid food and drinks. Just come prepared for the prices and enjoy the vibe without looking at the receipt too closely.

We loved Maui Brewing on Maui so we were delighted to find this one in Waikiki near our hotel. This place is super toddler and family friendly, lots of space, a nice varied food menu without being overly complicated, and enjoyable service. We’ve had a lot of their standard menu so opted for “fancier” dinner plates of mac nut crusted mahi and the butterfish. Great place for a casual but delicious dinner!

Maui Brewing Co. was the first place we hit after settling in; it was a great choice. We shared the nachos, they were stacked with tons of meat easily the perfect portion for two people. Super flavorful and satisfying. I tried the OMG IPA and the Rice beer(can’t remember the name, and both were excellent. The OMG IPA had bold flavor without being too heavy, and the Rice beer was smooth and refreshing. Overall, awesome food, great beer, and a perfect start to our Waikiki trip. Definitely worth a visit. 🍺🌴

We were looking for a place to have some drinks before our dinner reservation. If you like beer, this is a great place to hang out and the food looked outstanding. Wide selection of local beers but also beers from across the US - on tap. Full bar as well. They do offer “flights” to sample the variety of beer if you are unsure, which was a nice way to get started. Staff were attentive. This place can get busy. When you first arrive they will direct you to stairs (3 flights) but there is an elevator if needed. Prices were reasonable for the area and definitely not as expensive as some place we could have hung out. FYI, when we left about 7:45 the place was starting to fill up (on a Monday night).
