A Modern Twist on Island Classics
Stepping into Lime Light Kitchen feels like a breath of fresh air amidst the urban energy of Honolulu. This isn’t your typical tourist trap; it is a bright, airy space where the scent of kaffir lime and charred pineapple drifts from the open kitchen. The aesthetic leans heavily into minimalist coastal design—think pale woods and floor-to-ceiling glass that captures the unique golden hour glow synonymous with the Oahu coastline.
What to Expect on Your Plate
The culinary philosophy here centers on elevating local harvests. Chef-driven menus feature daily catches sourced directly from the nearby shores, often served with a signature citrus-chili glaze that balances heat with the bright acidity the restaurant is named for. The Macadamia Nut Crusted Ono is a standout, providing a satisfying crunch that gives way to tender, buttery fish. Pair your meal with one of their house-pressed sugarcane juices, which provide a clean, earthy sweetness perfect for a humid afternoon.
Local Nuances
Because the kitchen prioritizes small-batch ingredient sourcing, don't be surprised if the menu changes based on what the local farmers brought in that morning. While the food is consistently excellent, the popularity of this spot means the acoustics can get quite lively during the dinner rush. It is an ideal space for a casual date or a focused lunch meeting where you want to experience authentic Pacific flavors without the pretension. Parking in the surrounding Ala Moana area can be a game of patience, so consider arriving a few minutes early to secure a spot before your reservation.

This is a promising new venue in Honolulu! Went to a concert there last night, drinks were cheap, nice acoustics, and overall had a good time. Only issues were there was no reentry and live music didn’t start until 10:30 (the venue opened at 9). I wish there would have been an opener!

This place will be the place for all things events! Amazing facility with top tier production, lighting and seating set up! Stage and jumbo led screen is an added plus. The staff seems to be dedicated and professional. We are looking at hosting an event here and it is definitely going to be a show stopper. Absolutely gorgeous! Can't wait!
